Composer and musician Andy Milne, a former resident of Kincardine, was the recipient of the 2019 Juno Award for the Jazz Album of the Year: Group. Milne and his group, Dapp Theory, won for the album The Seasons of Being, released in the fall of 2018.

Back home, Milne’s mother Doris, who is a resident at RVilla in Ripley, enjoyed the show along with family members.

Now back home in Michigan, Milne is humbled and pleased to have been acknowledged for his work.

“I am feeling extraordinarily grateful for the many supporters in my life and for having the strength to soldier on throughout my career,” said Milne. “Aside from gratitude, I’m feeling very Canadian at this moment. Its a huge honour to be recognized by the Canadian music community with a Juno win.”
