Be aware of bears!

This black bear posed for Heather Boettinger to snap a great photo last week on Dawson Drive, where the bear had been into the garbage. A bear was also spotted, and photographed, by the McAlpine family in Lorne Beach.

Bulldogs open season Friday night

Wingham in town for home opener

The puck will drop Friday night in Kincardine as another Provincial Junior Hockey League season begins for the Nicol Insurance Kincardine Bulldogs.


Way up

The scaffolding is up and work is underway to refurbish the Kincardine lighthouse. The work includes repairs to and the repainting of the lantern and flat roof, as well as work to the existing siding and windows. The lighthouse is closed to the public until the project is complete, which is expected to be early Novermber. (Josh Howald photo)
