Richard Bernier, of Hanover and formerly of Paisley, passed away at the Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, April 16, 2016, in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Jane (née Mullen).

Father and stepfather of Dawn of Hanover; Paul (Liz) and Carol, all of Peterborough; Jim of B.C.; Linda (Roberto) of Ayr; Paul of Windsor and Heather (Shane) of Hanover. Grandfather to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held in Paisley in the fall.

Joan Louise Fletcher (née Johnston) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on April 18, 2016, at the age of 80.

Simone Gertrude Bousquet (née Theroux) of Kincardine passed away at the Southampton Care Centre on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in her 95th year.

Beloved wife of Paul Bousquet.

Loving mother to Lisa (Dan) Williams of Kitchener, Louise (Gradimir) Clayton-Mrdovic of Milton, Michael Clayton of Kitchener and Trevor Landry of Woodstock. Dear grandmother to Brandon, Sierra, Noah and Violeta.

Cherished sister of Emile (the late Blaise) Theroux of Sherbrooke, Quebec. Survived by Anne, Pierre, and Serge Theroux. Also missed by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by brothers Roger, Valmore and Julien; Micheline Clayton (Roger) and Lise Theroux.

Anne Anderson, beloved wife of the late Cecil Gardner and Charles Anderson, passed away at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Monday, April 4, 2016, at age 94.

She was born in Aneroid, Saskatchewan on Aug. 5, 1921, to the late Margaret (Wilkes) and Wilfred Quaid.

Dear Mother of Ken (Wendy) Gardner of Point Clark, Charlene (Doug) McEwan of Holyrood and Joan (Bob) Cresswell of Aylmer. Greatly missed by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Also survived by daughter-in-law Anne Gardner of Point Clark, sister Millie Montgomery of Listowel, brothers John Quaid and Ken "Bud" Quaid, both of Sarnia, sister-in-law Dorothy Anderson of Mount Hope and by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by son Ron Gardner and sisters Helen Dickson, Marion DeSilva and Mabel Westlake.

Donald Millard Craig of Kincardine passed away, surrounded by family, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Monday, March 28, 2016, in his 87th year.

Beloved husband of Lois Craig (née Gossel).

Loving father of Katherine Gowing (John) of Tiverton, Donna Gander (Geoff) of Sarnia, Kenneth Craig (Nancy) of Kincardine and Anne McBride (George) of Kincardine.

Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Isabel.

Predeceased by his parents Millard and Mae (Acton) Craig and siblings Arnold, Verna, Jack and Bob.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016.

Peter William Dekker of Kincardine and formerly of Listowel passed away peacefully at home, after a year of healthcare issues, on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the age of 83.

He was born March 21, 1933, in Hilversum, Holland.

Peter immigrated to Canada with his family in 1948. Perhaps best known for his powerful singing voice, Peter sang at many churches and weddings and was the founder of Music Alive in Listowel. He was also the founder of Conway Furniture in Listowel, a past member of the Atwood Lions Club, a past Chair of the Listowel Hospital Board, was on the Listowel Parks and Recreation Board and was a past member of the Listowel Rotary club.

Peter remarried in 1998 to Judy Nevery and has resided in Kincardine (and John's Pass, Florida) since then.

Survived by his wife Judy Nevery and by his children Penny Evans and Paul and Kristina (McCoag) Dekker, all of Listowel.

Earl Nelson Elliott, a veteran of the Second World War, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016, at his home in Wingham, in his 93rd year. He was in the company of his wife of 69 years, June R. Elliott.

Earl was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 21, 1923, to the late Peggy (Stanley) and Frank Elliott.

Happy memories were formed with his four children and their spouses: Nancy Elliott-Greenwood and Paul Greenwood of Goderich, Stephen and Janice Elliott of Blind River, Joyce and John Farrell of R.R. #2, Wingham and Ian and Shari Elliott of Horseshoe Valley.

Earl will be dearly missed by 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. The funeral service was conducted from the chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016, with Pastor Henry Steenbergen officiating.

Lance Joseph Hafner of Toronto passed away suddenly at home on Feb. 26, 2016, at the age of 54.

Predeceased by his parents Shirley (Noble) and Joseph Hafner. He was the stepson of Norma Hafner and friend Keith Bushell of Kincardine.

Dear brother of Sharon of Hamilton and step-brother of David (Jacinda) of Mitchell, Verna-Marie Hafner (Jorin Gibson) of Toronto, and Dan (Sara) of Cambridge. He dearly loved his nephews Xavier, Jarrett, Ben and Ryan.

Lance attended Glendale S.S. and McMaster University in Hamilton. He obtained his LLB from Osgoode Law School in 1984 and an MBA from Western University in 1987. Lance often volunteered at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, area food banks and with other charities.

A private family service was held on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Chapel in Caledonia followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton.

Sylvia May Emmerton (née Jackson) of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late Stan Emmerton.

Dear mother of Cheryl (Ron) McKee of London. Loved grandmother of Brooke McKee-Bass (Seth Bass) of New Jersey and Carla McKee (Neil Ewart) of London and great-grandmother of Jonah and Noa Bass and Quinn and Jax Ewart.

Predeceased by her sister Edna McLean, brothers-in-law Edwin, Joseph, Gordon, Allan and Herbert Emmerton and sisters-in-law Frances Walsh, Elizabeth Geddes, Edna Wilken and Annie Maurer.

Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, on Friday, March 4, 2016. The funeral service was held in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating.

Beloved husband of Jean Campbell (née Milne) of Kincardine.

Loving father of Marion Neumann (Rob) of Alberta, Carol Blake (Mike) of Armow, Ruth Ball (Graham) of R. R. #5, Kincardine, Loran Campbell (Anabel) of Armow and Anne Ohlmann (Ron) of Alberta.

Missed by his grandchildren: Nia Neumann, Andrea Neumann, Alex Neumann, Caleb Blake (Erin), Jedidiah Blake, Garrett Campbell, Carson Campbell, Makayla Ohlmann and Max Ohlmann and his great-grandson Casheous Blake.

Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Dean Campbell, Mary Young, Marjorie Young, and Edna Park and brothers-in-law David Young (Myrna), Gordon Young (Clare) and Ian Milne (Clare) and by several nieces and nephews.

Beloved husband of Suzanne McKitterick (née Pettit). Dear father of Mary Jane of Toronto, Rob of London and John of Kincardine. Cherished grandfather of Daniella, Jacob and Charlie. Loved brother of Patrick (Heljo) McKitterick of Brampton. Missed by brothers-in-law Claude (Anne) Pettit of Owen Sound, Alex (Bernice) Pettit of Sarnia, Derek (Janet) Pettit of Mooretown, sister-in-law Wendy (Norm) Vent of Port Hope, cousins Nancy (Carl) Edwards of Livonia, Michigan and Jerry (Marguerite) Kendall of Westland, Michigan.
