Georgia “Dean” Campbell (née Young), of Kincardine and formerly of Armow and Bervie, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, in her 88th year.

Beloved wife of the late Douglas Campbell (2004).

Dear mother of Paul (Lynn) Campbell of R.R. #2, Kincardine; Elaine (Keith) Alexander of R.R. #2, Cargill; Lynn Campbell (Mandy Reist) of R.R. #5, Kincardine; and Heather (Brian) Barnes of Goderich.

Loved by grandchildren: Josh (Lauren), Jeremy (Kristen), Dana (Emily) Campbell,  Davin (Sarah McPherson), Candace (Tyler Collins), Cole (Faith Yensen) Alexander and Ethan Barnes; and by great-grandchildren, Brayden, Aubrey, Rilyn and Weston Campbell.

Beloved mother of Roger Jackson (Gail Stroud) of British Columbia and Peter Jackson (Lizzie) of England.


Dear grandmother of Deborah Craven (Jim) of Oakville; Michelle Jackson, Scott Jackson (Celeste), Craig Jackson (Dom),all of Kincardine; Rob Jackson (Angie), Jennifer Jackson, all of Stratford; and Amy Davies (Lee) and Christopher Jackson, all of England.


Loved great-grandmother of Eric, Meagan, Shae, Shannon, Rory, Kaitlyn, Abbey, Kristen, Lauren, Steven, Kate and Nicolas.

Gary Holden O’Neil of Inverhuron passed away at his home on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, in his 87th year.

He was born on the O’Neil homestead in Oldcastle, Ontario, to Clyde and Mildred (née Holden) O’Neil on Oct. 20, 1930.

An eternal optimist, many referred to Gary as the happiest man they knew. His laugh and his humour was loud and infectious. He attended Kennedy Collegiate and was an active athlete. A big southpaw with a nasty slider, he proved himself a winning pitcher and achieved media notoriety while playing AKO football.

With a wife and small child, he attended the University of Windsor to achieve a business degree. His early career included Murphy Tobacco and Canadian Customs then he went on to a lengthy sales and management career in both pharmaceuticals and electronics. He was a hobbyist and filled his time with woodworking, barbershop, squash and jogging.

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Sally Boileau (née Riggin) on Nov.17, 2016, at her home.


Beloved wife of Ray. Loving mom of Paul (Jennifer), Alan (Deborah), Denis (Tracey), Kelly, Craig, Ken (Kris), Brian (Janelle) and Nicki (Nick).


Proud nana of 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sister of Mike (Helen), Margie (Jake) and Dave (Deb) and sister-in-law Shirley.


Predeceased by her parents Mel and Dickie Riggin, and brothers Dennis and Kelly Riggin. Sally will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.

William Arthur “Bill” Halbert of Kincardine passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services - Owen Sound on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, in his 68th year.

Beloved husband of Anne Halbert (née Smith).

Dear father of Mary Halbert of Southampton, Kerry (Mike) Maus of Barrie, Ian (Andrea) Trumble of Kincardine and Jean (Travis) Breton of Point Clark. Missed by his grandchildren Kelsey and Darcy.

Fondly remembered by his sister Susan (Grant) Hunter of Barrie, brother Larry (Judy) Halbert of Barrie, sisters-in-law Peggy (Steve) Wilson of West Vancouver and Cathie (Kaz) Orlanski of Oakville and brother-in-law Doug (Robin) Irvin of Edmonton. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margot Ruth Hanks of Kincardine passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, in her 78th year.


Born in South Porcupine, Ontario on Nov. 27, 1938, to Max and Jessie (née Norman) MacKinnon.


Beloved wife of Tom Hanks of Kincardine.


Dear mother of Randall (Chris) Baker of Dornoch and Lizanne (Willie) Campbell of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia.


Loving Gubba of Rachael, Becky, Ben, Tristan and Sarah Baker; Daniel, Jessica and Alex Ogilvie; and Shona and Hamish Campbell. Missed by her four great-grandchildren and son-in-law Steve Ogilvie of Kincardine.

Reverend Dennis Pearson Cluley, of Kincardine, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, in his 82nd year.


Survived by his wife Willa Cluley (née Ascah), his daughters Ann Marie Tout and Ruth Cluley and son-in-law Arie Moerman.


Predeceased by his brother Ted Cluley.

June R. Elliott, beloved wife of the late Earl Nelson Elliott, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her family, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, in her 94th year.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 4, 1923, to the late Florence (Lawson) and William Stephen.

Greatly missed by her children: Nancy Elliott-Greenwood and Paul Greenwood of Goderich; Stephen and Janice Elliott of Blind River; Joyce and John Farrell of R.R. #2, Wingham; and Ian and Shari Elliott of Horseshoe Valley; and by her 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers William and Roy Stephen.

Merla Palmer of Kincardine passed away at Trillium Court on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, in her 91st year.


Beloved wife of the late Donald Palmer, who predeceased her in 1977.


Predeceased by her parents William and Cornelia Sproule, and her brother Carman Sproule and his wife Edna.


A graveside service to celebrate Merla’s life was held at the Kincardine Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, with Reverend Vicki Johnson officiating.
