Orland Leslie Leggett, of Tiverton, died after a brief but courageous battle against cancer, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in his 68th year. 

Beloved husband of Lillian Leggett (née Todd). 

Dear father of Leslie (Ken) Ferguson, of Bowmanville; and Vicky (Michael) Quipp, of Tiverton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Jordan and Brittany Quipp, and Drew and Logan Ferguson.

Irene H. Crawford, of Royal Court, Riverview and formerly of Coronation Drive, Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. 

Irene is sadly missed by her sons: David (Brenda), St. Mary's, Ontario; and Douglas (Louise) Chemainus, B.C.; by her grandchildren Victoria and Trevor; and by her great grandchildren Sean and Ian. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence (Bun) O. Crawford (1994).

Tara Andrea Chatham, of Ripley, died suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2009, in her 38th year.

She was the beloved daughter of John and Pat Chatham, and the dear sister of Brent (Joanna) Chatham and aunt of Jacob, all of Ripley.

She is survived by her grandmothers Gwen Einarson and Helen Chatham; as well as by several aunts and uncles: Ginny (Bob) Brown, Ken (Laura) Einarson, Charlene Purchase, Elisabeth Vezina (Gary King), Louise Safford (Larry Reeves), William Chatham and Andrew Chatham.

Helen Elizabeth Buckingham (née Harrison), of Kincardine, died peacefully at Trillium Court on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of Clifford Buckingham. Loved sister of Roy (Edna) Harrison, of Owen Sound; Eugene (Jean) Harrison, of Kincardine; and Lorne (Norma) Harrison, of London; and sister-in-law of Tess Harrison, of Dorchester. 

Dear mother of Lois Dwan, of Kincardine; Robert Buckingham, of Toronto; Kenneth (Sharon) Buckingham, of Kincardine; and Ronald (Jeannette) Buckingham, of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Christina, Lisa, Adam and Sarah. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sister Margaret Merritt, brothers Bill and Jack Harrison, sister-in-law Peg Harrison and brother-in-law Charlie Merritt. Also predeceased by son-in-law Bud Dwan.

W. Roy  Aitchison, of Kincardine, died peacefully at his residence on Monday, April 6, 2009, in his 81st year. 

Beloved husband of Betty (née Markham). Dear father of Mary Lawson, of Kincardine; and Margaret (Ted) Thaler, of Toronto. 

Predeceased by his son Robert. 

Also survived by his daughter-in-law Trish and her husband Alex Long, of British Columbia. Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Alicia, Andrew, Megan, Christine and Mike; and great-grandchildren Emma and Jacob. 

Loving brother of Tom (Pat) Aitchison of Cambridge. Also survived by his close cousin Nancy Connell. 

A private funeral service was held, with Rev. Susan Samuel officiating. 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

Kathleen May Stevens (née Thompson) died peacefully on the morning of Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Southampton Care Centre.

Kathleen was born in Toronto on August 29, 1922.

Mother of Janet Stevens, of Toronto; Scott Stevens, of Kincardine; Bill Stevens, of Ottawa; and Mark Stevens, of Omemee, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Helen Shave, of Port Elgin.

Predeceased by her husband Eric. 

A private funeral service was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON N2Z 1Z5, 519-396-2701), with Rev. Rob Hiscox officiating.

Allan Edgar Evans, of Tiverton, died peacefully on March 25, 2009. Allen was born March 17, 1917.

He is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie of over 67 years. 

Dear father of Beth Evans, of Cambridge; and Irwin Evans and his wife Isobel, of Bruce Township. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Tom, Jennie and Laura; as well as by many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his brother Clyde.

Bertha Irene Becksmith, formerly of Tiverton and Kincardine from 2001-2004, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at the Windsor Regional Hospital, in her 65th year.

Beloved wife of Thomas. Loving mother of Mechele (John); Lee (Tawnya), Diane (David), Wade (Heather), Calvin (Tammy) and Marshal (Tammy).

Daughter of Rhoda, and daughter-in-law to Claire. Loving sister to Evelyn, Judy, Gail and Larry. Sister-in-law to Florence and Brian Lloyd, of Windsor and formerly of Kincardine.

Loving grandmother to 25 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her father Lester; her father-in-law Fred; and son Dayle.

Wilfred (Bill) Danforth, Second World Veteran, of Ripley and formerly of Point Clark passed away at Wingham Hospital on Saturday, March 7, 2009, having recently celebrated his 90th birthday.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1919 to the late Jessie (Alderton) and Warren Danforth. 

Beloved husband of the late Avis Nadine (Wilson), whom he married in 1945. 

Survived by two sons: Bruce (Hilda) Danforth, of Whitby; and Douglas (Michele) Danforth, of St. Charles. Also greatly missed by six grandchildren: Mark, Jamie, Peter, Colin, Michael and Paul; as well as by five great grandchildren; and his sister Dorothy (Bill) Vize, of London. 

Predeceased by son Scott, and brother Harold (Isabelle) Danforth.

Frances Mary Keil (née Jesperson) passed away Feb. 23, 2009 at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine, in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of the late Howard Cowan and George Keil.

Sadly missed by children Glen (Carol) Cowan, of Tiverton; Lynn (Ron) Nicholson, of Ripley; and Kim (Debbie) Cowan, of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Tiffany (Mark) Price, Christina (Ted) Kalchos, Michael (Diane) Nicholson, Joshua (Heather) Cowan, and Jordan Cowan; and by great-grandchildren Anne and Joshua Price; Linnea and Noland Kalchos; and Angela, Tasha and Cameron Nicholson.
