ANNABELLE BUCHANAN

Annabelle Buchanan, of Kincardine and formerly of Bruce Township and Tiverton, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Heath Centre – Kincardine, on Thursday, May 7, 2009, in her 82nd year.

 

Annabelle Florence Surridge was the oldest of a family of 10 of the late James and Christena (Kinmond) Surridge. She was born on Nov. 4, 1927, in Kincardine Township.

REV. RUTH POGSON

 

The Reverend Ruth Pogson, formerly of Sidney, B.C. and Kincardine, died at St. Jude’s Anglican Home, Vancouver, on Dec. 30, 2008. She was in her 85th year.

A memorial service and the burial of ashes will be held June 27 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Bruce Beach.

Lloyd Albert Bonnett, of Kincardine, died at Pinecrest Manor, Lucknow, on Friday, June 12, 2009, at the age of 82.

 

He was born June 8, 1927 in Kincardine Township.

WALLY CHALMERS

Wally Raymond Chalmers, of Point Clark, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Monday, June 1, 2009, in his 66th year.

He was the beloved husband of Gail Chalmers (née Gowing); and dear father of Dawn (John) Mawhinney, of Kincardine; and Jeff (Debora), of R.R. 4, Ripley. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Darby and Larissa.

Loved brother of Jim (Joan) Chalmers, of Blyth; Dave Chalmers, of Wallaceburg; Richard Chalmers, of Goderich; and Mary (Ken) Phillips, of R.R. 3, Lucknow.

DOROTHY ASTLES

 

Dorothy Astles passed away May 21, 2009, after a two year battle with cancer.

Left to mourn is her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Astles, of London; son Bryan Astles (Chris), of Kincardine; grandson Greg Astles (Sneha), of Mississauga; and granddaughter Cara Crossett (Tim), of London.

Missing their beloved great grandma “Elevator” are Benjamin and Samuel Crossett.

Albert Victor Ball, of Tiverton Park Manor and formerly of Kincardine passed away at the SBGHC Kincardine, on Monday, May 18, 2009.

The son of the late Ernest and Elsie Ball, Bert was born in Breslau, Ontario, on June 22, 1923.

Orland Leslie Leggett, of Tiverton, died after a brief but courageous battle against cancer, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in his 68th year. 

Beloved husband of Lillian Leggett (née Todd). 

Dear father of Leslie (Ken) Ferguson, of Bowmanville; and Vicky (Michael) Quipp, of Tiverton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Jordan and Brittany Quipp, and Drew and Logan Ferguson.

IRENE CRAWFORD

Irene H. Crawford, of Royal Court, Riverview and formerly of Coronation Drive, Moncton, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. 

Irene is sadly missed by her sons: David (Brenda), St. Mary's, Ontario; and Douglas (Louise) Chemainus, B.C.; by her grandchildren Victoria and Trevor; and by her great grandchildren Sean and Ian. 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence (Bun) O. Crawford (1994).

Tara Andrea Chatham, of Ripley, died suddenly on Sunday, April 19, 2009, in her 38th year.

She was the beloved daughter of John and Pat Chatham, and the dear sister of Brent (Joanna) Chatham and aunt of Jacob, all of Ripley.

She is survived by her grandmothers Gwen Einarson and Helen Chatham; as well as by several aunts and uncles: Ginny (Bob) Brown, Ken (Laura) Einarson, Charlene Purchase, Elisabeth Vezina (Gary King), Louise Safford (Larry Reeves), William Chatham and Andrew Chatham.

Helen Elizabeth Buckingham (née Harrison), of Kincardine, died peacefully at Trillium Court on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of Clifford Buckingham. Loved sister of Roy (Edna) Harrison, of Owen Sound; Eugene (Jean) Harrison, of Kincardine; and Lorne (Norma) Harrison, of London; and sister-in-law of Tess Harrison, of Dorchester. 

Dear mother of Lois Dwan, of Kincardine; Robert Buckingham, of Toronto; Kenneth (Sharon) Buckingham, of Kincardine; and Ronald (Jeannette) Buckingham, of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Christina, Lisa, Adam and Sarah. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sister Margaret Merritt, brothers Bill and Jack Harrison, sister-in-law Peg Harrison and brother-in-law Charlie Merritt. Also predeceased by son-in-law Bud Dwan.
