LAURA LANKIN

Laura Kathleen Marie Lankin (née Farr), of Kincardine and a veteran of the Second World War, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Saturday, March 31, 2012,  in her 87th year.

Dear mother of Helen (Steve) Howard, of R.R. 2, Tiverton; and Deborah (Steve) Gibson, of Dorchester. Loving nanny of Dennis Howard and Travis (Jennifer) Howard. Cherished great grand nanny of Brayden Howard.

Sadly missed by her brother Arkell Farr, of St. Catharines.

Predeceased by her husband Dennis Lankin, brother Bill Farr as well as sisters Francis Shamess and Helen Peachy.

Visitation was held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 1p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Weir officiating.

FRIEDA COLLINS

Frieda Ida Katherine Collins (née Schoepp), formerly of Huron Township, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton, on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in her 94th year.

Loving wife of the late William "Bill" Collins.

Dear mother of Carol (Bud) McMartin, of North Bay; Louise (David) Logan, of Southampton; Lois (Leonard) Comeau, of Cambridge; and Grant (Carol) Collins, of Huron Township. Grandma will be sadly missed and remembered by her nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Loved sister of Geraldine Anger, of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and sister-in-law of Delmarie Schoepp of Calgary, Alberta.

ROBERT WHITE

Robert Ivan White, of Lion's Head, passed away peacefully on Feb. 29, 2012, in his 77th year.

Beloved husband of Elaine.

Dear father of Mark, of Victoria, B.C.; and Mary Heather White and her husband Shanthiepan Sivarajah, of Ottawa. Ivan will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jonathan and Elizabeth; his daughter-in-law Tammy White, of Lion's Head; and his brothers: Carman, of Lion's Head; Roy (Marge), of Wiarton; Bruce (Alice), of Port Hope; and John (Mary K), of Lion's Head; by sister-in-law Janet, of Peterborough, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Ivan was predeceased by his parents Eunice (Hewton) and Gordon White, a brother and sister in infancy and sister-in-law Nita White.

In respect of Ivan's wishes, cremation has taken place.

JOHN D. MacKAY

John D. MacKay, of Ripley, passed away at Pinecrest Manor on Feb. 21, 2012, at the age of 77.

The beloved husband of Joan (Courtney).

Missed by his children: Brian and Debbie, of Ripley; Ken, of Toronto; Eoin and Lisa, of Ripley; and Darryl and Lianne, of Pryor, Oklahoma. Remembered by grandchildren: Sarah, Rachel (Matt) Van Hardenveld, John (Brittany), Dan, Cailin, Jack, Claire and by four great-grandchildren.

Survived by his in-laws: George MacLennan, Evelyn Rice, Lloyd and Shirley Courtney, Mervyn and Gloria Courtney, and Bob and Shirley Harris.

Predeceased by his sisters Jeanne Marie MacLennan and Gwen Pollock, and by brothers-in-law John Pollock and Grant Rice.

GEORGINA CRAMMOND

Georgina Crammond (née MacGregor), of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, in her 93rd year.

Wife of the late Ewan Crammond.

Sadly missed by her sister Kathleen (Jack) Fitzgerald, of Kincardine. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Hazel Webster, Sadie Elkerton, Stella and Meredith MacGregor as well as by brothers Duncan, Daniel, John, Ernest and Johnnie MacGregor.

Visitation was held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

MILES MICHAEL KELLY

Myles Michael Kelly (WW II Veteran), of Kincardine and formerly of Manitouwadge, died at Southampton Care Centre, on Thursday, February 16, 2012, in his 88th year.

Beloved husband of Marjorie Kelly (née McMenemy).  Dear father of Russell (Theresa) Kelly of Vancouver, Daniel Kelly (Carol Desilet) of Manitouwadge, Brian Kelly (Edwina "Casey" Weichert) of RR#2 Tiverton, Marjorie Bell of Kincardine and Linda Hunt of Kincardine.  Predeceased by his daughter Nancy Kelly.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Angie (Ron), Kim, Trista, Myles and Mike (Krista) and his great-grandchildren Caleb, Taylor, Talia, Katherine, Meah and Monica.

Loved brother of Margret (Keith) Penford of Wyoming.

Also predeceased by his brothers Jim and Wilmer and his sister Eileen.

Nora Bailey (née Cunningham), of Kincardine, died at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, in her 98th year.

Beloved wife of the late Samuel "Sam" Bailey.

Dear mother of Bruce (Barbara) Bailey, of London. Loved grandmother of Chris Bailey and Tanja (Jim) Youngson; and great-grandmother of Aileen Bailey (Scott McComb), Alex (Louise) Bailey, and Dana, Rachel and Mikayla Youngson.

Predeceased by four brothers and ten sisters.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012. The funeral was held at the Kincardine United Church at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, with Rev. Don Harry officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Christopher and Alex Bailey, Jim Youngson, Scott McComb and Terry Taylor.

JACK BOWERS

“Jack” John Laishley Bowers, of Chesley, and formerly an RCAF pilot with the 422 and 426 Squadrons during the Second World War, passed away at home on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, in his 91st year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife “Betty” Mary Elizabeth (née Terry) Bowers in 2004.

Loved father of Andy and his partner Susan Barkley, of Morrisburg; Bill and his wife Jocelyn, of Walkerton; Don and his wife Dorinda, of Kincardine; and Margie and her husband Stephen Blender, of Owen Sound. Jack will be missed by his 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Elizabeth Gaynor (née Hall), of Kincardine, died peacefully at the home of her daughter Trish, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, in her 88th year.

Beloved wife of the late Lyle Gaynor.

Dear mother of the late John Gaynor; Sharon Zettel and her husband Mike, of Kincardine; and Trish Wettlaufer and her husband Wayne, of R.R. 2, Tavistock. Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Jennifer Gaynor, Matt (Nany) Gaynor, Will Gaynor (Christie Masse), Andrew Zettel (Lora Freeman), Scott (Jen) Zettel, Adam Wettlaufer (Jess Feagan), Darryl Wettlaufer and Brett Wettlaufer; and by her great-grandchildren: Carter and Craig Zettel.

Survived by her daughter-in-law, Nora Swanson; step-sister Joyce Moran and her husband Alvin, of Dungannon; brother-in-law Leon Gaynor (Sandra), of Goderich; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

It is with great sorrow that the family of Harry Barnes announces his passing on Jan. 15, 2012.

He is lovingly remembered by the family that he cherished: his wife of 60 years, Anne; daughters Christine (Harvey) Johnson and Michele (Dan) Bartley; his grandchildren: Lynsday (Dave) Hillier, Justin, David, Shane and Magin.

Predeceased by his sister, Joan.

A private family service will be held.
