Marjorie Elizabeth Bowman (Greer) died peacefully, with her family at her side, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

She was born in Kincardine Township May 29, 1928,

Beloved wife of Clement Willis Bowman.

Loving mother of Elizabeth Ann Bowman, and her husband Peter Cawood; and John Clement Bowman, and his wife Sybille Wunsam. Cherished grandmother to Emma and Ian Cawood, and Philip and Sophie Bowman.

Dear sister-in-law to Marianne Greer and James Bolton. Also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Laura Zita (neé Cunningham) and Albert Arthur Greer; by her brother, Arthur Ernest Greer; and by her sisters-in-law: Betty Bolton, Joyce and Maurice Dudley.

Carmen Beraro, of Kincardine,  died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine, on Saturday, June 23, 2012, in her 49th year.

Beloved wife of Jack Thompson.

Cherished daughter of Helmut and Edelgard (née Nückel) Beraro.

Loving sister of Frank (Janice) Beraro, of Waterloo; and Stefan (Melissa) Beraro, of Cambridge. Dear aunt of Jacob, Emma, Madison and Andrew. Sadly missed by her step-children Andrea Thompson, Jeremy Michael (Suzanne) Thompson and step-grandson “William” Ronald Thompson-Smith.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, ON  N2Z 1Z5 (519-396-2701) on Wednesday, June 27,  from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11a.m., with Rev. Don Harry officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeremy Thompson; Helmut, Frank, Stefan and Andrew Beraro; and Mel Bickford.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

Don Gillespie, of R.R.1, Holyrood, died on June 16, 2012 at the Wingham Hospital, at the age of 84.

Don was born in West Wawanosh Township on July 4, 1927 to the late Mabel Hodgins and Charles Gillespie.

He was the beloved husband of Marion Gillespie (Nicholson).

Dear father of Ron and Susan Gillespie; and Cathy and Andrew Page, all of Route 1, Holyrood. Missed by his grandchildren: David and Kate Gillespie, Angie Gillespie and Dan Davey, Jamie Page and Tyler Page.

Also survived by his sister Betty (Don) Bushell, of R.R. 2, Holyrood; and by his in-laws, Jim and Isabel Hunter, Donnie Smith, and Ken and Joyce Nicholson.

Predeceased by in-laws Margaret and Lorne Ritchie; Bill Smith; and niece Wanda Hunter.

A memorial service will be held from the Church of Ascension in Kinlough on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. Betty Elliott will officiate.

Nina Jirgens, of Kincardine, died at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Monday, June 11, 2012, in her 93rd year.

Wife of the late Karl Jirgens.

James "Jim" Patrick McFadden, of Waterloo and formerly of Chesley, passed away suddenly at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener on Sunday June 3, 2012, in his 73rd year.

Dear father of Dan and his wife Kim, of Kincardine; Brenda and her husband Serge Melanson, of Cocagne N.B.; and Kevin, of Grand Bend. Cherished "Papa" of Madison, Garrett and Bryce McFadden; Veronique and Emily Melanson; and Troy McFadden.

Sadly missed by his sister Lorraine McFadden, of Dundas; his brother Jack and his wife Marlene McFadden, of Guelph; and his sister Bonnie and her husband Paul Hughes, of Harriston. Fondly remembered by his friend Shirley Rahman and by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marie (Kelly) McFadden.

J. Carl Finlay passed on Monday, May 21, 2012 at his home in Cross Creek, New Brunswick.

Born Feb. 25, 1932 in Kincardine, he was the son of the late Calvert and Sadie (Colling) Finlay.

Husband of Dale E. (Spear) Finlay.

Father of Greg Finlay (Carol), of Waterloo; Paul Finlay, of Toronto; Jeff  Finlay (Laurie), of Oxford AL; Carla Nehring (Kurt), of Bright, ON; Sharon Francis (Lloyd), of Public Landing, N.B.; and Janice Thomas (Robert), of Cross Creek, N.B. Survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also survived by sister June Shoemaker (Frank), of Gabriella Island, B.C.; brother Ron Finlay (Betty Jean), of Bruce Beach, ON; and by several nieces and nephews.

Leo Burton Arnold passed away peacefully on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, in his 82nd year.

Loving husband of Helen for 56 years.

Cherished father of John, Ruth, Glenn, Jean and her husband Douglas. Proud Grandpa of Ashley, Jack and Kate.

Dear brother of Eunice Emmerton. Leo will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends.

Murray Eugene Ibbotson passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012 in the Blind River Hospital.

He was born Feb. 22, 1945 in Kincardine Township.

Murray lived on the home farm on Concession 9 of Kincardine Township and in Underwood. He worked at BNPD for a number of years, but for the last three years had lived in Iron Bridge, Ontario.

Survived by his sisters June Kerslake, of Greenoch Township; and Beverley and Mike Blackett, of Lucknow; sister-in-law Joan Ibbotson, of London; as well as by several nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his friends Wayne and Gary, of Iron Bridge; Bob, of Kincardine Township; and Jim, of Tiverton.

Predeceased by his parent, George and Christine (McKenzie) Ibbotson; his twin sister Mildred (1975), his brother Robert (2010); and his brother-in-law Keith.

In keeping with Murray’s wishes, there will be no visitation.

Frank Benjamin Goddard died peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Wellington, in Guelph, on Sunday, May 6, 201, in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of 65 years of the late Ivy Marion Goddard (May 17, 2009).

Loving father of Jim and his wife Elaine, of Ariss; Heather and her husband Paul Stephens, Tina and her husband Eric Stephens, Connie and her husband Rick Hart, and Betty Miller and her partner Dale Brown, all of Guelph; and Linda Goddard and her partner Richard Villemaire, of Port Dover.

Frank was the proud grandfather of Frank (Kendra), Wesley (Sandi), Paul Jr., Penny (Art), Patrick (Cindy), Diana, Ryan (Jessica), Steven (Kristy) and Glen (Talia), and great-grandfather to 16 great-grandchildren

Beloved brother of Jean Tervit, of Wingham; Nancy (Gary) Lippert, of Kincardine; Mike (Donelda) Cottrill, of Belgrave; and Joe (Cheryl) Cottrill, or Tiverton.

Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, William and Elsie (McIntosh) Cottrill; and by his brother-in-law, Jack Tervit.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ruth MacLean officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Shawn, Chris, Matthew and Trevor Cottrill; Steven Lippert; and Ken and Kevin Tervit. Flower bearers were Melissa Tervit, Jaide Campbell, Meagan Tervit and Jennifer Cottrill.
