Mary “Marjorie” Evans (née McKnight), of Tiverton, died at Tiverton Park Manor on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in her 95th year. 

Beloved wife of the late Allan Evans. 

Dear mother of Beth Evans, of Cambridge; and Irwin Evans and his wife Isobel, of Bruce Township.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Tom, Jennie and Laura.

MAXINE KING

E. Maxine King, of Kincardine, passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in her 77th year. 

She was born in Dungannon to Earl and Adella McNee on Dec. 9, 1936.  She married G. Willex King on Aug. 29, 1959 and together they worked the family farm in Kincardine Township and raised their three children.

She is survived by her children Melody (Mel) Smillie, of Kincardine; Martha (Tab) Kern, of Harrow; and Keith (Lisa) King, of R.R. 4, Kincardine; and by three much loved grandchildren: Emily Smillie, and Jobe  and Kaylee King.

Also survived by sisters Dot Johnston, Dale (Ken) Weber and Aunt Mary Bere; sisters-in-law Pearl Hodgins and Wilma (Cecil) Sutton; as well as by many nieces and nephews.

ELSON ARNOLD

Elson Arnold, of Kincardine, died at the Hanover Care Centre on Friday, March 22, 2013, in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of Isabel (née Orr).

Dear father of Karen (John) Shearer, of Hanover; Pat (Bob) McClelland, of Whitehorse, Yukon;  Lois Arnold, of Kitchener; Mervin (Kim) Arnold, of Ripley; Bob (Liz) Arnold, of Kincardine; Bill (Laurie) Arnold, of Kitchener; and Lori Arnold (Paul Meyer), of Tillsonburg.

Sadly missed by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lovingly remembered by a son-in-law Mark Jones and a daughter-in-law Reina Arnold.  Predeceased by daughter Elsie Jones, son Mel Arnold and two granddaughters.

MARY LAMB

Mary Isobel Lamb (née Carlyle), of Stratford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Kincardine Hospital on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the age of 85.

Born in Brantford, one of 11 children, Mary resided in Stratford from 1956 - 2011 before moving to Kincardine for her remaining years.

Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Andrew Robertson Lamb.

Cherished mother of Lea Elizabeth Auckland and husband Cliff, Andrew William Lamb and wife Gail, Robert Alexander Lamb and wife Kim, Susan Mary Goetz and husband Rick, Jennifer Jane Lamb and husband Simon.

Loving grandmother of Michelle, Lindsay, Calen, Kendra, Taylor, Isla and Taite. Great grandmother of Ella and Abby.

BOB CHAPMAN

John James Robinson "Bob" Chapman, of Kincardine, died at Wingham and District Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in his 75th year.

Dear brother of Bette (Bruce) Hughes, of Teeswater.

Loving uncle of Stephanie (Tom) Ralston and Chris (Bev) Hughes. Great uncle of Blake and Spencer Ralston, and Cate and C.J. Hughes.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Wilma (née Robinson) Chapman.

The funeral service was held at Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 with Rev. Don Harry officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bruce and Chris Hughes, Tom and Spencer Ralston, Eric Osborne, Bob Colvin and Ross Young. Flower bearers were C.J. and Cate Hughes.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

MURRAY LEE

Murray Lee, of Kincardine and formerly of Ripley, passed away at his home on Feb. 23, 2013, at the age of 74.

Beloved husband of Kathy (Cobean).

Murray was born in Londesborough on Aug. 25, 1938 to the late Mabel Grainger and Ernest Lee.

Dear father of Rob (Kim) Lee, of Mansfield; and Susan (Kevin) Hackett, of Ripley.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Mike (Sara) Harper, of Ripley; Tyler Lee and Morgan Lee, of Mansfield; by his great-grandchildren: Seth and Emery; and by his special pup Samantha. Survived by his brother Jack (Helen) Lee, of Clinton; and his in-laws June Lee, Doug (Helen) Cobean, Pat (Bob) Slater as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his siblings Clarice Wall, Hazel Rivers, and Bill Lee.

AMANDA FULLERTON (Jan. 22, 1929 – Feb. 19, 2013)

Amanda Johnstone Fullerton, of Kincardine and formerly of Walkerton, passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Feb. 19, 2013.

Missed greatly by her beloved husband of 65 years, Jack; by her sons Brian (Lolly), David (Marrie) and John; by her grandchildren Andrew (Melissa), Nick, Sarah (Shaun Grant), Meaghan, Miranda, Brianna, Olivia and Kevin; and by her great grandchild Maya. 

Daughter of J.P. Johnstone and Nellie Reid.

She is survived by her sisters Marguerite Fischer-Seip and Betty Knox, and by her sister-in-law Shirley Johnstone.

She was predeceased by her brother Jack Johnstone and grandson Jody Fullerton.

MICHAEL BLACKETT

Michael Blackett, of Lucknow and formerly of Ripley, passed away at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the age of 74.

He was born in Kincardine on Jan. 22, 1939 to the late Vera (Roach) and John Blackett.

Left to be remembered by his wife Beverley; son Jim (Marta) Blackett, of Hamilton; daughters Sherry and Lee Ann Blackett, both of Bothwell; step-daughter Debby Strong, of Windsor; grandchildren: Eric, Brett, Cole, Kelsey, Cody, Sara, Rob and Kitt; step-grandchildren Jessie and Sammy; and one great-granddaughter Amara.

Predeceased by his sister Laura Mae Hayes and son Tom.

A memorial service was held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, 12 Queen Street, Ripley N0G 2R0 on Thursday Feb. 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Perry Chuipka officiating.  A Legion service was held prior.

Spring Interment Ripley Cemetery.

ALMA HUSTON

Alma Huston (Culbert), beloved wife of the late Glenn Huston, formerly of Kincardine and Huron Township, passed away at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich, on Sunday Feb. 3, 2013, in her 83rd year.

She was born in West Wawanosh Township, on Dec. 16, 1930 to the late Blanche (Caldwell) and Nelson Culbert.

Survived by her children: Jean (Roland) Rossiar, of Kitchener; Brian (Carol) Huston, of Strathroy; and Donald (Sheila) Huston, of Kincardine.

Also greatly missed by grandchildren: Jessica, Lauren, Erin, Anne-Marie, Amy, Stacy and Corbin; great grandchildren: Kyla, Macy, Nathan, Bree, Chloe and Tristan; brother Harold Culbert, of Dungannon; sisters Doreen (Don) McNeil, of St. Thomas, and Joyce Tait, of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Eileen Rife (Huston); and by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

BRYCE SMALL

Bryce John Small, of Kincardine and a 30-year member of the Kincardine Fire Department, passed away suddenly at his residence on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in his 56th year.

Dear father of Brandon and Ryan.

Beloved husband of Patty Beckberger-Small, of Kincardine.

Loved brother of Blair (Lori) Small, of Kincardine. Sadly missed by his nephews: Jason and Tyler Small, and Derrick and Gary Moulton. 

Predeceased by his parents, Bud and Isabelle (Moulton) Small; his brother Lyle Moulton; his sister-in-law Marilyn Moulton; and his niece Andrea Moulton.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, from 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013.
