DORIS MacKAY

Doris Viola MacKay (née Stanley), of Kincardine, died at Pinecrest Manor on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, in her 84th year.

Dear mother of Cathy (Donald) Farrell, of Ripley; Norman MacKay, of Stratford; Carol (Nat) Swaan, of Kincardine; Marion (Roy) Crick, of Port Franks; Janet (Rod) Seabrook, of Altona, Manitoba; Brian (Gail) MacKay and David (Joyce) MacKay, all of Kincardine.  Lovingly remembered by 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Loving sister of Gertrude Schmidt, Cecil Stanley, Rennie (Dorothy) Stanley, Clifford (Olive) Stanley, Murray Stanley, Elmer (Kathy) Stanley, Everett Stanley and Ken (Darlene) Stanley.  Survived by her sisters-in-law Donna Bell and Marlene (Al) Truscott.

Predeceased by her husband Keith MacKay; sister Ruby Eady; brother Gordon Stanley; as well as by sisters-in-law Pat and Marion Stanley.

HUBERT RIEKENBRAUK

Hubert  Riekenbrauck, of Kincardine, died peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of Margot (née Althoff).

Dear father of Kean (Carmen) Riekenbrauck, of London; Mark (Debi) Riekenbrauck, of Cambridge; Gwen (Mladen) Halar, of Inglewood; Norm Riekenbrauck (Lucie Nadeau), of Whitby; and Neal Riekenbrauck, of Caledon.

Loving grandfather of Seth, Aiden, Dawn and Jill Riekenbrauck; Christopher, Carolyn and Michael Halar; and Sara and Julia Nadeau-Rieckenbrauck.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Peter Jurzyk officiating.

ARCHIE BLANDFORD (1928-2013)

Archie Blandford, of London, died early Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.

Born in London, Ontario on Nov. 8, 1928, he was the son of Margaret Templeton Thompson and Raymond Douglas Blandford.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret (Peggy) E.G. Hargraft, and by his nieces and nephews: Peggy, Duff and Sandy Stewart and Anne Duffey and Doug Hargraft.

Predeceased by his sister Mary Jane Stewart (1923-2004) and his brother Raymond Frederick (1921-2007).

Archie Blandford was a teacher. He taught during education's golden age in London, Ontario. He was also a brother, uncle, vice-principal, entrepreneur, tree farmer, minor hockey executive, coach, car enthusiast, cottager, snowbird, golfer and a son of a Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Field Artillery and a nurse trained at Toronto General.

Gordon “Gord” Roddick Beardmore, of Kincardine, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, in his 69th year.

Beloved husband of Bernadette “Bernie” Beardmore (née Gerding).

Dear father of Penny Beardmore (Jamie Moss), of Kitchener; and Cory Beardmore, of Kincardine. Loved papa of Alyssa, Dustin, Jessica, Cassidy, Taylor and Jacob and great papa of Kayden.

Lovingly remembered by Bernie’s family and sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his sister Margo Gibson.

Gord owned and operated Gord’s Mobile Lock & Key in Kincardine since 1988.

Adriaan Maria Beckmann, formerly of Fisherman’s Cove in Kincardine, died at the Markham Stouffville Hospital, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of the late Hendrika (née Berkveld), Margaret (née Reinders) and Marilyn (née Glover.)

Dear father of Rob (Toni) Beckmann, of Uxbridge; and Connie (Bill) Rankin, of Watford. Cherished grandfather of Tyler (Andrea Nelson), Sam and Derek Beckmann; and Sean (Tammy) and Bill (Debbie) Rankin.

Sadly missed by his sister Connie Naber, of Groningen, Holland; and by his great grandchildren: Kayla, Jenna and Adam.

Predeceased by his brother Johann Beckmann, sister-in-law Mary Beckmann and brother-in-law Johann Naber.

PHILIP McDONALD

Philip Alan McDonald, age 49, of Kincardine, passed away suddenly at his home, on June 30, 2013.

He is survived by his mother, Marion McDonald, of Kincardine; and by his older siblings, Anna (Jake) Smith, of Bruce Township; Laura (Garry) Farrell, of Port Hope; Mark McDonald, of Port Elgin; Peter (Sharon) McDonald, of Kincardine; and Jill (Stuart) DeCoste, of Newcastle.

Also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, and by 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Predeceased by his father, Donald Gordon McDonald.

Philip had many adventures. Raised on a farm, he drove tractors, snowmobiles, and mini-bikes, and his Silver Anniversary Corvette. He dearly loved Nascar races and Car #6, Mark Martin. In his school days, his wrestling prowess won him the gold medal. Philip rarely missed watching his teams - the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs.

Fritz Aeschlimann,beloved husband of Rosa Aeschlimann (Schurch) of Tiverton, passed away at Hanover Care Centre on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the age of 91.

Father of Ruth (Peter) Pfeil, of Switzerland; Fritz (Vreni) Aeschlimann, of Frankfort N.Y.; Hanni  Di Rosa, of Switzerland; Walter (Heidi) Aeschlimann, of Kincardine; Esther (Alfred) Ziegler, of Switzerland; and Susan (Heinz) Gruetter, of Tiverton.

Also greatly missed by grandchildren: Fabian, Benjamin, Oliver, Wesley, Dominic, Lukas, Miriam, Jannina, Tim, Stephanie, Jenny, Kevin, Nina, Lea, Marc and Lynn, and by five great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his son Werner Aeschlimann, and son-in-law Richard Di Rosa.

A memorial service celebrating Fritz’ life will be held at the Bervie United Church on Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with Judy Zarubick officiating.

Bryan George Edden, of R.R. #2, Kincardine, died at his residence, on Friday, June 14, 2013, in his 81st year.

Beloved son of the late George and Thelma (Lucking) Edden.

Loved brother of Thelma Whittington (Bill Hertel), of R.R. #2, Kincardine.

Sadly missed by his niece Leslie; by his nephews Fred, Kevin and Darren; and by his great nieces and great nephews.

Predeceased by his brother-in-law, Keith Whittington.

Visitation was held from 2-4  and 7-9 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
