Bob Courtney of Point Clark passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018, at the age of 91.


He was born Feb. 13, 1927, at the Kincardine Hospital. Son of the late Archie and Lottie (Reid) Courtney.


His entire life was spent on the Courtney farm in Huron Township, until he retired to Point Clark in 1981. Bob was married for 67 years to the former Anna Joyce Campbell of Amberley, daughter of the late Bill and Noma Campbell.


Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Dennis Courtney of Point Clark, Wendy (Tom) Leonard of Campbellville, Michael (Debbie) Courtney of Huron Township, and Shannon (Bill) Henderson of Point Clark.


Loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Also survived by his sister Geraldine McLeod of Kincardine and sisters-in-law Janet Kempton of Point Clark and Joan (Ellwood) Irwin of Guelph as well as by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Predeceased by his son Patrick (2003), brother Leonard and wife Muriel, and brothers-in-law Carman McLeod and Bill Kempton.


Following visitation for two hours, a celebration of Bob’s life was held at Pine River United Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, with Rev. Vicki Johnson officiating.


Final resting place: Pine River United Church Cemetery, Lurgan.


Bob will be well remembered by his family and friends for his humour, music, friendship and wonderful memory.
