ALVIN A. FRANCE
Alvin A. France, beloved husband of Ethel France (Anness) of Ripley passed away at Kincardine Hospital on Aug. 19, 2008, at the age of 87.
Born in Amabel Township on Sept. 30, 1920, to the late Ethel (Colwell) and George France.
Dear father of Jim (Debbie) France of Ripley. Loving grandfather of Kevin (Terri) France of Kincardine, Dean (Michelle) France of Kitchener and Corrine France, also of Kitchener. Great grandfather of Connor, Joshua and Braiden.
Predeceased by brothers Charlie, Harold, Jim, Mel and John France and sister Helen Schroeder.
Visitation was held at the MacKenzie and MCCreathe Funeral Home, Ripley, on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008.
The funeral was conducted from the chapel on Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Diane Dier officiating.
Pallbearers were Ron France, Stewart France, Doug Schroeder, Kevin France, Dean France and Corrine France.
Interment Douglas Hill Cemetery, Brant Township.
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kincardine Hospital Foundation were greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
