WINNIFRED HOWE

Winnifred Irene Howe (née Baird) of Kincardine passed away at the Owen Sound Hospital on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in her 103rd year. Beloved wife of the late John “Edward” Howe (2001). Cherished mother of Audrey Howe of Kincardine. Missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Evelyn Baird and by sister Lola Harris, Lenore Hooey, Evelyn Hewitson and Marjorie Reid

A private family funeral took place at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ron Harris, Bob Harris, Jack Campbell and Bill Hewitson. Interment Sanctuary Park, Port Elgin. Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or Huron Shores Hospice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. JOHN DAVID KIELY

 

John David Kiely passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 3, 2017, in his 67th year. Loving father to Lori Cornell (Stephen), Matthew (Kim) and Sean. Proud Grampa John to Katelyn, Ashley, and Logan. Survived by his siblings Michael (Marg), Moira (John), Gerard (Lynn) and Sean (Karen). John was retired from Bruce Power and had served as Union Steward with the P.W.U. for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to read. Cremation has taken place.

 

A celebration of John's life will be held at the Marlatt Funeral Home - Swackhamer Chapel, 195 King Street West, Dundas at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. May he return to the radiance and find peace. Online condolences may be made at www.marlattfhdundas.com.

 

 

MARGARET TERRIS

Margaret Sara Terris (née Steeves) of Kincardine and formerly of Ottawa passed away peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, in her 93rd year. Mourning the passing of Margaret are her daughters Gail (Gordon) Foy of Burnaby, B.C., Carol (Bruce) Edwards of Kincardine, Nancy (John) Egan of Mississauga and Wendy Patenaude of Ottawa. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Bessie and Aubrey Steeves, her brother Donald (Marjorie) and her husband Herbert Terris. The funeral service will be held at the Kincardine Lighthouse Fellowship Baptist Church, 83 Mahood-Johnston Drive, Kincardine, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, with Pastor Stephen Gordon officiating.
