The Kinucks were eliminated from the eight-team weekend tournament by the Twin Centre Stars in a Sunday afternoon semi-final contest. Twin Centre played Wallaceburg for the tournament championship later in the day. Wallaceburg recorded a 3-0 victory.

Kincardine certainly kicked off the tournament on the right foot. The midgets posted a 7-0 win over Goderich Friday night. However, Kincardine played again early Saturday morning and were defeated by South-Bruce 4-1. They followed that up, and stayed in contention, with a 1-1 draw against Penetang in a Saturday afternoon showdown.

Last year, Kincardine defeated Saugeen Shores in the tournament final.

The eight-team tournament also featured teams from BCH and Hanover.

The midgets have a busy schedule leading into the Wingham Regional Silver Stick tournament, which begins Nov. 12. The Kinucks have home games this week tomorrow (Thursday) night against BCH at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday night against Wingham at 9:10 p.m. Then, Kincardine will be in Palmerston Nov. 7 to play Minto and back at home Nov. 9 to host South-Bruce.
