LAURAINE BOCK

Lauraine Martha Ann (née Husk) Bock of Kincardine passed away at Victoria Hospital in London on Oct. 1, 2017, in her 80th year.

 

Beloved wife of Douglas “Doug” Bock, and married for 55 years.

 

Dear mother of Steven (Nancy) Bock and David (Kelly) Bock.

 

Cherished grandmother of Sarah, Amanda, Olivia, Anderson, Katelyn and Jenna.

 

Also missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

Predeceased by her parents Jim and Marrietta (Hedley) Husk.

 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, with an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, with Pastor Ken Craig officiating.

 

Interment Kincardine cemetery.

CHRISTINA BOYD BA/BSc (McMaster), MA (Carleton)

Christina (Tina) Nicole Boyd died peacefully, at age 46, on Oct. 3, 2017, supported by her loving parents Marion and Terry Boyd and Joseph Dunlop-Addley as well as her furry friends, Maggie and Tosca.

Fondly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Pat Boyd of Port Perry, Ken and Ann Boyd of Fenelon Falls, Sheila Bauer of Underwood, Marg and Grant Black of Marsville, David Watt of Durham and Cheryl Pfister of Barrie.

Also remembered by all her cousins and their families, and by her large extended Addley/Conahan family, led by Pat Schram of Shedden.

Predeceased by her grandparents Bill and Dorothy Watt; Irving and Marian Boyd; and “Pop” Ray Schram, and uncle Clive Boyd.

Tina’s journey with MS was long and difficult, filled with disappointments and losses, yet she never lost her determination to live with optimism, gratitude and faith. She was always ready to sing, smile and laugh. When asked how she felt, she answered, “I’m great!” Tina’s glass was never less than half-full. We will miss our sunshine.

Fulfilling Tina’s desire to live and die in Inverhuron by her beloved lake required the help of many people. The family is grateful to all of them for their support. In addition to her family, special thanks are extended to the following: her physicians, Dr. Marc Lebeau (Ottawa) and Dr. Susan Batten (Hanover); her CCAC nurses, especially Alison, Micah and Beth; her Team 4 nurses, especially Tammy and Susan; her many devoted PSWs, especially Kerry, Jan, Sue, Carrie and Kristin; the E-shifters, especially Christine, David, Cindy and Susan whose services allowed her parents to sleep; her VON palliative care visitors, Joy and Joyce; the Kincardine and Port Elgin Day Away staff, drivers, volunteers and participants; the staff at Gordon Pharmasave, Saugeen Mobility, and Mackhall Mobility; her ministers Gord Dunbar, Judy Zarubick and Don Harry; as well as all her dear friends at the Kincardine United Church, whose prayers, visits, good wishes and cards sustained her to the end.

At Tina’s wish, cremation has already taken place.

A memorial service to celebrate Tina’s life will take place at the Kincardine United Church, 721 Princes Street, Kincardine at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, with Rev. Gord Dunbar officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, and from 12:30-2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at the Kincardine United Church prior to the service. Refreshments will be served in the church hall after the service.

Interment at a later date.

ANTON HIETVELD

 

Anton Hietveld of Kincardine passed away at RVilla in Ripley on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, in his 94th year.

 

Loving husband of Albertha Hietveld (née Ribbink) of Kincardine.

 

Cherished father of Joanie (Norm) Gauthier of Kincardine, Janie (Val) Cottrill of Waterloo and Betty Ann (Jerry) McNulty of Kincardine.

 

Dear grandfather of Danielle (Travis) VanGaver, Curtis (Cassandra) Gauthier, James (Shelly) Cottrill, Martha (Bryan Fedorak) Cottrill, Sara (Brad) Vinandy, Ali (Travis Hofstetter) McNulty, Molly (James) Nixon and Nick McNulty (Aaron Davis). Great-grandfather of Alex, Alayna and Drew VanGaver, Weston Gauthier, Isla, Cameron and Everly Vinandy and Eli Hofstetter.

 

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Predeceased by granddaughter Emily Grace Cottrill, parents Johanna and Derek Hietveld as well as by two brothers, five sisters and several in-laws.

 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The funeral service followed at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Ken Craig officiating.

DARRYL HILLIARD

 

Darryl Bruce Hilliard of Kincardine passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services - Owen Sound on Oct. 3, 2017, at the age of 70.

 

Beloved husband of Janet (née Nahrgang) Hilliard; lovingly married for 36 years.

 

Dear father of Richard “Rick” Norman and Brian Norman.

 

Cherished grandfather of Mendi (Jim) Holroyd, and Andrew, Michaela and Rachel Norman. Missed dearly by his great-grandchildren Ashlyn, Reid and Mason.

 

Survived by his sister Darlene (Jim Wade) Hilliard.

 

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Gladys “Jean” Hilliard.

 

Visitation was held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m.
