Aljoe fired a +2 38 on the front nine and an even par 36 on the back to finish with an 18-hole score of 74. That was more than enough for the win last Wednesday in ideal conditions at BlackHorse Golf Course.

"I felt good out there today," said Aljoe. "The weather was perfect, the course was great. It was a lot of fun."

The Mount Forest resident had a big summer on the links. He was Midwestern Ontario's Junior Optimist Golf champion and competed in Florida at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships at the PGA National Resort and Spa.

He waltzed away with the BAA tournament by five strokes. His nearest competitor was JDSS teammate Shayne Baltzer, who finished with a 79 (40-39).

Having the top two golfers was enough for the Trojans to claim the overall boys team championship as well.

Aljoe will now represent the BAA at the CWOSSA Golf Championship tournament, which is happening today (Wednesday) at the Listowel Golf Club.

Kincardine District Secondary School finished second overall in the team competition. Kincardine's three-man combined score of 266 was five strokes back of JDSS' 261.

Jake Colley led the Knights at the BAA tournament. After a 44 on the front nine, he carded a strong +2  38 on the back to finish with an 81, seven strokes back of Aljoe.

Slade Twolan and Carson Rutledge were the other KDSS golfers. Twolan fired a 91 (45-46), while Rutledge finished with a 94 (51-43).
