LAINE McKAY (1946 - 2017)

Blaine Joseph McKay passed away suddenly on Sept. 13, 2017, as the result of an ATV accident.

 

Born in Windsor, Blaine moved to Toronto where he was an accountant in finance, healthcare and government. He was a retired CGA/CPA, an avid outdoorsman who loved his cottage. He was a member of Variety Village.

 

Survived by his wife Linda, mother Eileen, brother Lawrence, Uncle Allister and Aunt Pearl, nieces Shelley and Kiffi, and grandnephews Shannon, Seth, Lenin and Ellis.

 

Predeceased by his father Calvin McKay.

 

A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at the McDougall & Brown Funeral Home  in Scarborough, with visitation for a half hour prior and a reception following.

 

Memorial donations to Birchcliff Bluffs United Church in Toronto or Variety Village were greatly cherished.

 

Interment at a later date.

PAT MURPHY

 

Ralph “Pat” Theodore Murphy of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, in his 91st year.

 

Beloved husband of the late Marie Murphy (née Miller).

 

Dear father of Penny Finkbeiner of Pender Island, British Columbia and Kathleen Neudecker of Rochfort Bridge, Alberta.

 

Missed by his grandchildren: Colin (Julie) Finkbeiner, Jordan Finkbeiner, Kaleigh Finkbeiner, Erin Finkbeiner, Anali Neudecker, Christine Neudecker, Cari Neudecker and Dallas Neudecker.

 

Loving brother of Charles Murphy, Joe (Doreen) Murphy and Julie Gallagher. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Predeceased by his son Michael Murphy (1970), sons-in-law George Finkbeiner and Arnold Neudecker, sisters Margie Fawcette, Darlene Miller and Frances Murtagh, parents Ralph and Luella Murphy, sister-in-law Jean Murphy and brother-in-law Arnold Gallagher.

 

The funeral service to celebrate Pat’s life was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, with Father Joshy officiating.

 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
