The Walkerton golfer won a second consecutive club title with a terrific 73-70. The next nearest competitor was Walkerton's Jeff Wilken, who finished seven strokes back of Mackey with a 74-76.

Mackey was the picture of consistency all weekend long. He didn't have one six on his scorecard through 36 holes, it was all threes, fours and fives.

Kincardine's Andy McLelland finished 76-80.

It was a weekend of winning in pairs, as Brenda Cooper won her second straight women's club championship. She was 91-94 to claim her second straight title. On top of that, her husband Dave Cooper finished as the net men's club champion with a two-round score of 145.

Meanwhile the Kellys - Carolyn and Les - won their respective low net categories.

Senior ladies champion Liz Corneil set a new club record by finishing her round in three hours and 39 minutes - something the gentlemen should take note of.

The course was in excellent shape and nearly 50 men and eight ladies enjoyed the top notch competition, socializing and an excellent roast beef dinner.

Kincardine's MIke Reaume brought home the Men's B Low Net, while Dave Evans won the Senior Men's B Low Net.

Other winners included Rick Hodgson, Kent Schaefer, Roger Amelotte, Ron Stanley, Jeff Gammie, Bob Parks, Gordon Yoon, Paul Sinclair, Doug Gauthier and Terry Parsons.
