Although the sand went in last Monday and the floor was in use Tuesday and Wednesday, nobody started keeping score until Wednesday night when the Kincardine Recreational Volleyball League held its annual year-end tournament. The Campfires won the championship tournament, while the Redwoods won the consolation side.

Thursday night featured the business divisions. Canadian Tire took bragging rights in the championship side of the brackets, while The Co-Operators won the consolation title. St. Anthony’s A claimed the Wanna B’s prize.

The main event began Friday night and ran through until Saturday evening. In the competitive division, Sexy Beaches captured the championship with a win over Spice of Life.

In the Recreational A Divison, Pass & Hitties defeated Addicted to Fake Sets in the final. The consolation winners were How I Set Your Mother.

The Recreational B Division went to the team with the longest name in the tournament – You Know It’s All About the Face. That team beat Super Spikes in the final. Consolation side winners were Nets Worth over the One Hit Wonders.

Beer Pressure persevered to win a huge Rec C Division. They beat Beaches Please in the final. On the consolation side, Who Gives a Hit prevailed. With so many entries in the Rec C Division, other category winners included the Alcoballics and Let’s Talk About Sets.

Other winners included the schools, as mentioned, and the Air Cadets, who also enjoyed the action. New this year was the Youth Waves Volleyball Tournament, which was held Sunday.
