The Bluewater Athletic Association boys and girls soccer regular season schedules were released last week, and both KDSS teams will open the season Tuesday afternoon on the road. The KDSS boys will be up first, with a 2 p.m. game in Walkerton against the Walkerton District Community School Riverhawks. The girls will also take on the WDCS girls in a game that will follow the boys match, or roughly 3:45 p.m.

Last season, the KDSS girls advanced to the BAA final, but were defeated 2-0 there by the Sacred Heart High School Crusaders. The boys, meanwhile, were eliminated in the semi-finals by Georgian Bay Secondary School in a 2-1 decision.

Both Knights soccer teams have home games next Thursday. Both clubs will host the Chesley District Community School Cougars at the Davidson Centre soccer pitch. The boys will play at 2 p.m., with the girls to follow at 3:45 p.m.

High school rugby teams will also take the field next week to kick off the season. The KDSS girls will travel to Walkerton on Monday for a 3 p.m. match against the Sacred Heart Crusaders.

It was also announced that the BAA Track and Field Championships will be held at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine May 10.
