Ronald “Ron” John Cameron of Kincardine passed away suddenly in Lakeland, Florida, on March 28, 2017, with his loving wife by his side, at the age of 70.


Beloved husband of JoAnn (nee Wayland) for almost 50 years, sadly falling shy by a mere 18 days.


Cherished father to Lisa (Ken) Holmes of Kingston and Rona-Jo (Adam) Peters of Cambridge.


Left to mourn his passing are his five grandchildren: Steven Holmes of Ottawa, Melissa Holmes of Toronto and Hugh, Hayden and Maisy Peters of Cambridge.


Missed by brothers-in-law Orville (Beverly) of Goderich and George Wayland of Kincardine, his sister Debbie Laing (John) of London and his brother Jim Cameron (Beverly) of Walkerton. Fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.


Predeceased by his parents Mervin Cameron and Dorothy Dishman, and his sister-in-law Shirley Wayland.


Ron was born in Kincardine and had made it his home for the majority of his life. He was an electrician by trade and worked for Ontario Hydro as a control technician for over 30 years. He was a long-time member of the Kincardine Legion, the Masons, a devoted Canadian Blood Donor and a member of the Kincardine Golf Course.  Ron had an easygoing manner, always quick with a helping hand and genuine smile. He was a true heart - kind, personable and so comfortable to be around. He truly was one of the best and will be so very missed by his family and friends.


Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Ron's Life from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Governor’s Inn, 791 Durham Street, Kincardine on Saturday, May 6, 2017.  A tribute and toast to Ron will take place at 2 p.m.

June E. Elliott, beloved wife of the late Gordon J. Elliott, passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in her 92nd year.


June was born in Kincardine on June 2, 1925, to the late Emma (Wilson) and Jim Farrell.


Greatly missed by sons Rick (Susan) Elliott of Point Clark and Terry (Mary Ann) of Alberta, grandchildren Kristen, Erin, Mark, Josh and Diane (Chris) and great-grandchildren Connor, Tyler, Dean, Kent, Kaylan, Miles and Nyla.


Also survived by her sister Marion McLeod of Lucknow.


Predeceased by her daughter Jill, granddaughter Melissa and brothers Wilson, Gordon and Murray Farrell.


Cremation has taken place.


Interment Lurgan Cemetery.


A celebration of June’s life will be held at a later date.

Charmaine Elizabeth Jenkins (née Costello) of Kincardine passed away peacefully with family by her side at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in her 59th year.


Beloved companion of Eric Stewart of Kincardine.


Loving mother of Sean Jenkins (Anna Goncalves) and Kyle Jenkins (Emilie Woodward), all of Kincardine.


Dear sister of Mike Costello (Julie) of London. Fondly remembered by her nieces Katie and Jessica Costello and former husband David Jenkins.


Charmaine worked as a librarian in the Kincardine and Tiverton branches of the Bruce County Library.


A casual visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes Street, Kincardine; 519-396-2701) on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Bertha (Bolton) Tout, beloved wife of the late Earl Tout, of Ripley passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow on Sunday, April 2, 2017, in her 104th year.

Bertha was born in Culross Township on Dec. 6, 1913, to the late Rosetta (Smith) and Robert Bolton.

Lovingly remembered by her children: Doug (Audrey) of Waterford, Marlene of Port Perry, Helen of Mitchell and Murray (Faye) of Caesarea. Ever missed by 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Also left to mourn by: brothers John Bolton of Wingham and Harvey (Bertha) Bolton of Walkerton; sisters Margaret Sleightholm of Lucknow and Etta Dickieson of Ripley; sister-in-law Marie Bolton of Walkerton; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was predeceased by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

The funeral service was held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley at noon on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, with visitation prior beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.
