SALLY BOILEAU

 

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Sally Boileau (née Riggin) on Nov.17, 2016, at her home.

 

Beloved wife of Ray. Loving mom of Paul (Jennifer), Alan (Deborah), Denis (Tracey), Kelly, Craig, Ken (Kris), Brian (Janelle) and Nicki (Nick).

 

Proud nana of 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sister of Mike (Helen), Margie (Jake) and Dave (Deb) and sister-in-law Shirley.

 

Predeceased by her parents Mel and Dickie Riggin, and brothers Dennis and Kelly Riggin. Sally will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.

 

A celebration of Sally’s life will take place on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, from 3-6 p.m. at the Walker House, 235 Harbour Street, Kincardine.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

ELLEN COLWELL

 

Ellen Elizabeth Colwell of The Village Seniors Community in Hanover and formerly of R. R. #1, Tiverton passed away in Hanover on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, in her 98th year.

 

Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Colwell.

 

Dear sister of Annie Campbell of Hanover, Charlotte Wilson of Chesley, Margaret Collins of Orangeville and Shirley Woodason of Hanover. Ellen is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Fondly remembered by her step-children Dave (Delores) Colwell of Scone and Bea (Ramon) Mitchell of Hanover. Missed by her step-grandchildren: Randy (Jackie) Colwell, Rob (Megan) Colwell, Richard (Lee) Michand, Helen (Matt) Walter and by nine step-great-grandchildren.

 

Predeceased by her parents, William and Charlotte (McKay) Reid; brother John Reid and his wife Bernice; and brothers-in-law Hugh Campbell, Gordon Wilson, Michael Collins and Robert “Bob” Woodason.

 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. with Reverend Jason Mills officiating. Pallbearers were Rob Colwell, Randy Colwell, Tom Reid, Colin Campbell, Jim Collins and Rob Woodason.

 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

JANET CRESS

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mom and grandma, Janet Isabel Cress (née Dobbie) on Nov. 18, 2016, at the Kincardine Hospital, at the age of 83, following a brief illness.

Janet will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years Roswell, sons Barry (Lorraine) and Brad (Sonya), and grandchildren Nicole, Michelle, Kody, Sarah and Mike.

Also remembered by sisters Peg Seller, Nancy Fletcher, Rosie Dobbie and brother Bud (Joyce) Dobbie. Janet will be missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Bertha Dobbie, son Brian and brothers-in-law Jene Seller and Ron Fletcher and brother Bill Dobbie.

Janet was very involved in her community and liked to stay busy. She was a long-time member of the Pine River United Church, former treasurer of the Huron Lakeshore Friendship Club, membership chairperson of the Point Clark Beach Association and secretary of the Pine River Boat Club.

Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pine River United Church on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at 12 p.m.

BRADLEY DIETZE

Bradley James Dietzeof Kincardine passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, at age 54.

Missed by his three sons Bradan, Bryce and Blake, all of Waterloo. Dear brother of Marilyn Doell (Ken) of Stratford, Darlene Clifford (Tom) of Kincardine, Ralph Dietze (Lora) of Kitchener, Karen Campbell of London, Lyle Dietze (Sharon) of Kincardine, Darryl Dietze (Marion) of London and Shawn Dietze of London.

Remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents George and Margaret (née Tozer) Dietze.

A memorial service to honour Brad’s life will take place at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, followed by a Celebration of Life at Gilley’s Feedlot in Kincardine.

Final resting place:Kincardine Cemetery.

BRUCE DUDMAN

Bruce Dudman of Tiverton and formerly of Kincardine passed away at his residence on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at the age of 61 years old.

Beloved spouse of LouAnne (née Evanitcka) of Tiverton.

Dear father of Bruce (Valerie) Dudman of Peterborough. Beloved grandfather of Dillon, Daisy, Rebecca, Trinity, Tiffany and Daniel-John.

Missed by his brothers Robbie (Diana) Dudman of Oshawa and Scott Dudman of Toronto and by sister Janet (Mike) Surridge of Kincardine.

Loved by his mother- and father-in-law Carl and Sue Evanitcka.

Remembered and missed by his aunt Bev and uncle Lorne Backs, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Albert Dudman and Margaret Costain, step-father Raymond Costain and his two grandmothers Janet Taylorson and Nanny (Annie) Raisback.

A Lions Club memorial service was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Nov.17, 2016.

Visitation was held from 12 noon to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m.

FRITZ WILLIAM LARSEN

 

Fritz William Larsen of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre- Kincardine, on Nov. 9, 2016, in his 84th year.

 

Much loved partner and best friend of Peps Lorentzen for 32 years.

 

Cherished father of Heidi (Peter) Munro of Durham and Anita (Paul Pearce) Surridge of Kincardine. Loved grandfather of Toben (Jinny), Nikolai, Canaan (Martine), Aeris, Leander (Katrina) and Kristen (Jeremy) and great-grandfather of Erik and Rylan.

 

Dear brother of Reidun Swan and also missed by numerous family members in Norway.

 

Rest in peace, Fritz, in a better place with no more pain and suffering and with all those wonderful Larsens who have passed before you, especially wife Anne (1983) and son Erik (1997). Sspecial thank you to all the wonderful doctors and nurses who looked after Fritz in his final days in Owen Sound and Kincardine.

A celebration of Fritz’s life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Kincardine Branch183 from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.

PATRICIA SHEPHERD

 

The family of Patricia Marion Shepherd (née Simpson), who was born Nov. 25, 1948, sadly announce her sudden passing after a lengthy illness on Nov. 15, 2016.

 

Patricia is predeceased by her parents Robert and Evelyn (née Leeson) Simpson of Rosthern, Saskatchewan.

 

Beloved wife of James Victor Shepherd of Kincardine.

 

Loving mother of Jamie Shepherd and his wife Valerie of Kincardine and Lynn Shepherd of Hamilton. Missed by grandson Vaughn Shepherd.

 

Predeceased by her brother John Simpson of Winnipeg and sister Kathy Tomyn of Prince Albert.

 

Well-loved and admired, she was valedictorian of her high school class, attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in Psychology.

 

Pat was a world traveller, enjoyed golf and tennis and most recently pickle ball with her friends.  She was an avid reader with a great wit, which her family and friends enjoyed as well as her eloquence and generosity of spirit.

 

Pat was adored and loved by many and will be greatly missed.

 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016. A private family service took place.
