June R. Elliott, beloved wife of the late Earl Nelson Elliott, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her family, on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, in her 94th year.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 4, 1923, to the late Florence (Lawson) and William Stephen.

Greatly missed by her children: Nancy Elliott-Greenwood and Paul Greenwood of Goderich; Stephen and Janice Elliott of Blind River; Joyce and John Farrell of R.R. #2, Wingham; and Ian and Shari Elliott of Horseshoe Valley; and by her 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by brothers William and Roy Stephen.

Visitation was held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home in Ripley from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016. The funeral service was conducted from the chapel at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, with Betty Elliott officiating.

Interment Durham Road Baptist Cemetery, Greenock Township.

Joan Barbara Gilbank (née Duncliffe) of Tiverton and formerly of Glammis passed away at University Hospital in London on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, in her 82nd year.


Beloved wife of Glen Gilbank.


Loving mother of Kevin (Laura) Gilbank of Burlington, Karen (Dale) Wall of Tiverton and Keith Gilbank of London. Dear grandmother of Katelyn, Corey, Paige, Ashley, Danica, Cassandra, Chris, Melissa and great-grandmother of Aiden.


Dear sister of Bill Duncliffe of Dunchurch. Survived by sister-in-law Sylvia Duncliffe of Waubaushene and brother-in-law John Logan of Toronto. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Predeceased by her brothers Doug, Don and Frank Duncliffe; sister Margaret Logan and sister-in-law Glenda Duncliffe.


Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home,757 Princes Street, Kincardine, on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at  12 p.m. with Ann Maycock officiating.


Interment Tiverton Cemetery.

Howard Harrison of Ripley, beloved husband of Gwen Harrison, passed away at the Kincardine Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at age 87.


He was born on Sept. 13, 1929, to the late Esther (MacNair) and Edwin Harrison.


Greatly missed by daughter Sally Harrison of Windsor and Kevin "Howie" Harrison of Ripley.


Also survived by brother Rae and Ruth Harrison of Mississauga, sister-in-law Sandra and Garry Campbell of Chatham and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Lois Small, Jack Harrison, Dorothy Green and Marilyn Lowry.
