Huron United crushes Orangeville

Huron United put a beating on a shorthanded Orangeville squad Friday night at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Orangeville was in town for a Forsyth Cup match against the local soccer squad, but arrived at the pitch with just eight players. Huron United, with a full roster in attendance, ran all over Orangeville in this contest. The final tally was 9-0 for Huron United, which dominated this game from start to finish.

Ivo Ferreira, Mat Dennis and Damian Gunaratne each scored twice for Huron United. Chad Freeman, Matt Brown and Gerrit Satosek each scored once in the win.

Sunday, Huron United was on the road for a match against Albion FC. Satosek and John-Paul Catelo each scored for United in a 2-0 victory. The win moved Huron United into sole possession of first place overall in the SouthWest District Premier Men's Soccer League at 6-1-1.

Huron United is in action Sunday afternoon at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. Wilmot will be in town for the regular season match. Kick-off is at 3:30 p.m.
