Belva Kathleen Agar (Thompson) passed peacefully at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at age 90.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Agar (2015).

Loving mother of the late Marilyn (Agar) Webb (1998) and mother-in-law of Charles R. Webb (Cindy).

Cherished grandmother of Jamie Webb (Shannon) and Julie Flynn (Eric) and great-grandmother of Charlie Webb, Brynlee Webb and Hudson Flynn.

Survived by her sisters Christina “Teeny” Garland, Eileen Morris and Shirley Bourgeois (Robert), sisters-in-law Eleanor Thompson, Shirley Thompson and Vina Thompson, brother-in-law Glen Agar and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Murdock and Gladys; brothers Stewart, Howard, Ronald and Lloyd Thompson; and brothers-in-law Andrew Morris, Arthur Garland, Charlie Agar (Dunedin) and sister-in-law Margaret Love (Walter).

Belva was raised on a farm in Glammis, and always had a fond place in her heart for Bruce County and visits with family. With Bob, her husband of 67 years, she lived in Stratford, Calgary and later settled in Sarnia to be closer to family. Belva was known for her hospitality, her amazing pies and tarts, and her love for dogs - which could only be matched by her love for family.

A celebration of her life will be held at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Glammis at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016.

Interment to follow at Purdy Cemetery in Brockton.
