ERNEST EVANS

Ernest “Ernie” Evans of Kincardine passed away, with family by his side, at Grey Bruce Health Services - Owen Sound on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at the age of 78.

Beloved husband of Alayne Evans (née Wright). Dear father of Mary-K Hardy (John), Shelley Evans and Angela Evans (Steve Bent). Missed by his granddaughter Quinn Evans. Special Poppa to Jules and Eartha Phorson. Missed by his brothers Jim Evans, Bill Evans (Pat) and Lynn Evans and sister Eueen Emmerton. Fondly remembered by his in-laws Donna Riddick, Kay Small, Judy MacLeod (Eric) and by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Kathleen (née Johnson) Evans, sister Frances Duke (Eugene), brother-in-law Ed Emmerton and sister-in-law Mildred Evans.

A celebration of Ernest’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #183- Kincardine from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016, with remembrances at 3 p.m.

Final resting place: Kincardine Cemetery.

MIKE McKITTERICK

Charles Michael "Mike" McKitterick of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Thursday, February 11, 2016, in his 82nd year.

Beloved husband of Suzanne McKitterick (née Pettit). Dear father of Mary Jane of Toronto, Rob of London and John of Kincardine. Cherished grandfather of Daniella, Jacob and Charlie. Loved brother of Patrick (Heljo) McKitterick of Brampton.  Missed by brothers-in-law Claude (Anne) Pettit of Owen Sound, Alex (Bernice) Pettit of Sarnia, Derek (Janet) Pettit of Mooretown, sister-in-law Wendy (Norm) Vent of Port Hope, cousins Nancy (Carl) Edwards of Livonia, Michigan and Jerry (Marguerite) Kendall of Westland, Michigan. Also missed by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Audrey (Leef) McKitterick.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1p.m., with Rev. Don Harry officiating.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

PAUL PROUDLOVE

Paul Gerrard Proudlove of Toronto passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in his 55th year.

Beloved son of Betty Conlin of Kincardine and the late Hugh Proudlove.

Dear brother of Marty (Jane) Proudlove of Walkerton, Anne Marie Benedict (Bob Taylor) of Tiverton, Mary Joe (Joe) Glatt of Kincardine, Steve (Anna) Conlin of Baltimore, Ontario, and Marc (Kate) Proudlove of Holland, Michigan.

Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

BERNIE RIGDEN

Bernard "Bernie" William Rigden of Kincardine passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in his 81st year.

Beloved husband of Mary Patricia Rigden (née Breese).

Loving father of Tracey Rigden of Toronto, Andrew (Gillian) Rigden of Coldwater, Craig (Megan) Rigden of Windsor and Paul Rigden of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Kieran.

Dear brother of Ian (Denise) Rigden of Ottawa and Deidre MacDonald of Martintown. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his sister June Lalonde and brother-in-law Angus MacDonald.

Visitation was at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016.

The funeral mass was held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Kincardine, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016, with Father Peter Jurzyk officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Knights of Columbus: Steve Robinson, John Lamphier, Rick Vanderhorst, Merle Whitwell, Joe Casciano and Bob Griffiths.

Final resting place, Kincardine Cemetery.

JOHN D. THOMSON

Dr. John Douglas Thomson passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, in his 85th year.

Beloved husband of Phyllis Muriel Thomson (née Mowbray). Cherished father of Chris (Nancy), Jeff, Janet, Cameron and Ian. Loved grandfather of Sam, Joe (Kayla), Aaron, Tawnya and Brandon. Dear brother of David Thomson, Betty (Bryan) Rowntree and the late Jim Thomson.

John was born and raised on Shalomar Jersey Farm in Brooklin, Ontario, where he attended Brooklin Public School and Whitby High School. John went on to graduate from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 1954. From there, he was a dedicated employee for more than 21 years with the Western Ontario Breeders before going into private practice and operating Shalomar Stud horsebreeding farm near Woodstock.

During his retirement, John enjoyed partaking in his hobbies - fishing, crosswords, CFL and spending time around the race track, where he was known as Dr. John.

Friends and relatives are invited to join with the family at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, and from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016. The complete memorial service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Cremation has taken place.

Private interment at a later date, Groveside Cemetery,Whitby.
