Richard Bernier, of Hanover and formerly of Paisley, passed away at the Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, April 16, 2016, in his 92nd year.

Beloved husband of Jane (née Mullen).

Father and stepfather of Dawn of Hanover; Paul (Liz) and Carol, all of Peterborough; Jim of B.C.; Linda (Roberto) of Ayr; Paul of Windsor and Heather (Shane) of Hanover. Grandfather to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held in Paisley in the fall.

Joan Louise Fletcher (née Johnston) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on April 18, 2016, at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of Dr. Robert Fletcher.

Sister to Robert Johnston (Betty).

Mother of Todd Fletcher and Jill Fletcher-Douglas (Terry); adored grandmother of Jessica (Ella) and Katie Fletcher, Cole, Rebecca, Clinton, Luke and Braden Douglas; and great-grandmother to Wyatt Rey-Douglas Navarro.

Joan was a woman of grace, thoughtfulness and great vitality. She dedicated her life to the service of others. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by many.

Joan's family would like to thank the incredible nurses and staff at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital for their warmth and compassionate care.

As per her wishes, there will be no funeral service.

Private interment Thomsonville Cemetery, Renfrew, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Program at Renfrew Victoria Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

William “Clare” Rowell of Kincardine passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Friday, April 22, 2016, in his 87th year.

Beloved husband of Beth Rowell (née Bray).

Loving father of Betty Burnett (Doug) of Toronto, Barbara Rowland (Barry) of Florida, Patricia Greer (John) of Wasaga Beach and Peggy Henderson (Brad) of Mount Forest.

Missed by his grandchildren: Erik Vares (Dianna), Robert Greer (Jennifer), Kyle Greer (Kaylee), Leslie Henderson and Michael Henderson (Julie) and by his step-grandchildren: Deanna Price (Chris), Denise Lentine (Joe) and great-grandchildren: Veronika, Genevieve, Ethan, Cole, Dillon, Kennady and Carley.

Fondly remembered by his sisters Mae Hunt of Schomberg and Fay Douglas (Ken) of Innisfree, Alberta; by in-laws Don Bray of Beeton, Marie Bruhn (Hans) of Beeton, Gayle McLeod (Neil) of Manilla, June Bray of Beeton; and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his daughter Kim Thompson, parents Jack and Margaret (née Jackson) Rowell, brother Gerald Rowell (Joan), brothers-in-law Willard Hunt and Bill Bray and sister-in-law Inez Bray.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

The funeral service to celebrate Clare’s life will be held at Lighthouse Fellowship Baptist Church, 137 Mahood Johnston Drive, Kincardine at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016, with visitation from 1 p.m.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

Bruce Lauder Sayle of Kincardine passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Trillium Court in Kincardine on Sunday, April 24, 2016, in his 86th year.

Beloved husband of the late Jean Sayle (née Scarbo).

Dear father of Shirley Anne Sayle of Ottawa, Ron Sayle (Shelley) of Kincardine, Jacqueline Peters (Robin) of Edinburgh, Scotland and Melaine Sayle (Robert Peixoto) of Ottawa.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Alicia Sayle, Darcy Sayle, Dylan Sayle, Abigail Peters, Ava Peters and Cayden Peixoto and great-granddaughter Cloe Sayle.

Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Bruce was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his daughter Elaine Graveline (Paul), brothers Don (Joyce) and George (Hazel), sisters Mary and Florence, second wife Rylla Stewart and parents Hillard and Annie (née Howard) Sinclair.

Bruce served with the Royal Highland Regiment, A Company, Second Battalion (Black Watch) training in Canada and serving in Korea.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757  Princess Street, Kincardine, on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. followed by the memorial service celebrating Bruce’s life at 2 p.m.

Final resting place Maple Grove United Cemetery, Shawville, Quebec.
