We knew this team wasn't going to quit.

The Nicol Insurance Kincardine Bulldogs survived Game 4 of the OHA Schmalz Cup quarter-finals last night with a 4-3 win in Alliston. Kincardine will now host the Hornets - and face elimination again - Friday night at the Davidson Centre.

Last night in Alliston, Shawn Moore scored a power play goal with less than seven minutes remaining to give the Bulldogs a 4-3 win on the road and thwart an Alliston attempt at sweeping this series 4-0.

The 'Dogs trailed early. Joe Cochrane and Mitch Livingston scored first period goals for the Hornets, champions of the Georgian Bay Mid-Ontario Junior C League. But Keegan Angel and Shane Vollmer both scored goals in the first two minutes of the second period to tie things up. Captain Gerrit Satosek then put the 'Dogs in the lead before Stephane Nosad replied for Alliston to leave this game 3-3 at the second intermission.

Jacob Hutchings made 31 stops in the Kincardine net.

Game 5 is Friday night in Kincardine at 8:30 p.m. If the Bulldogs win that one, Game 6 will be played in Alliston on Saturday. If a seventh game is necessary, Kincardine will have home ice Sunday in a 4 p.m. start.
