DOUG KIDD

Douglas "Doug" Victor Kidd of R. R. 2, Tiverton passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at the age of 57.

Beloved husband of Betty Teat of R. R. 2, Tiverton.

Loving father of Daniel Kidd and his wife Alicia of Paisley, Carie Ferris and her husband Rick, and Kelly Becker and her husband Jeff, all of Port Elgin. Special grandpa of Blaze Kidd, Morgan and Kira Ferris, and Lena and Dylan Becker.

Cherished son of John Kidd (Elaine Winter) of R. R. 2, Tiverton.

Dear brother of David Kidd (Wendy Wilson) of Paisley; Dennis Kidd (Monica) of R. R. 2, Tiverton; Darlene Carson (Roger), Debbie Kidd (Chris Milne) and Diane Vanhaelemeesch (Jerry), all of Port Elgin; and Duncan Kidd (Megan) of Southampton.

Doug will be fondly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Predeceased by his mother, Cecelia Kidd (née Campbell); and by his sister-in-law, Shannon Kidd.

A celebration of Doug's life took place from 1-3 p.m. at the Underwood Community Centre on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016.

Final resting place Tiverton Cemetery.

JOHN MacKENZIE

John Henderson MacKenzie of R.R. 3, Tiverton passed away at Tiverton Park Manor on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, in his 99th year.

Beloved husband of Janet MacKenzie (née Reid).

Loving stepfather of Carmen Gossell, Cora Lee Dobson, Barbara Poole and Betty Johnston. Cherished by 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Missed by his nephew Alex McCulloch, great-nephew Andy McCulloch and great-niece Mary Shouldice. Also missed by his good friend Joan McCulloch.

Predeceased by his first wife Anita MacKenzie (née MacKinnon) in 1959, and by sisters Edna, Grace and Margaret.

John was Reeve of Bruce Township for 29 years and Warden of Bruce County in 1962.  Visitation was held at the Tiverton Knox Presbyterian Church from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 with the funeral service held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ruth MacLean officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Andy McCulloch, Steve Shouldice, Ken and Murray Howe, Barry Hall and Todd Johnston.  Flower bearers were Mackenzie Hall and Kyler Nurton.

Spring interment Tiverton Cemetery.

PETER E. TAYLOR (1933-2016)

Peter Taylor of Kincardine died peacefully on Jan. 10, 2016 in England.

Survived by Eleanor (Ellie) Taylor of Kincardine.

 

DON WEBER

Donald “Don” Philip Weber of R.R. #2, Tiverton, a veteran of the Second World War, passed away at Trillium Court in Kincardine, on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband of Maureen Weber (née Wright).

Dear father of Rob Weber of Cambridge and Lynne Gurzi of Bobcaygeon. Sadly missed by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his daughter Patricia Weber, daughter-in-law Carol Weber, brothers Ross and Eldon Weber and sisters Ruth Roeric and Dorothy Schaub.

Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home (757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Ontario N2Z 1Z5), from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016,  with Rev. Jim Weir officiating.

Interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
