Fern MacDonald of RVilla in Ripley and formerly of Lucknow died on Dec. 17, 2015, at the Owen Sound Hospital, at the age of 96.

She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard "Punch" MacDonald, who died in 1998.

Fern was born in Alma Township on July 22, 1919, to the late Clara McLaughlin and James Carnochan.

She was the dear mother of Jim and Karen of London, and Ron and Bonnie of Kincardine.

Missed by her grandchildren: Johanna, Cameron (Carrie), Andrew, Scott, Lisa Sallbank (Chris Huys), Aaron (Candis) and Joshua (Lindsay), and by her great-grandchildren: Amelia, Breanna, Evan, and Hailey.

Survived by her nieces Sharon Bean and Brenda Walker and by her many MacDonald nieces, nephews and family.

Predeceased by her sisters Greta Reid and Doris Van Camp.

The funeral service was held on Dec. 21, 2015, at the MacKenzie and McCreath Funeral Home in Lucknow. Rev. Peggy Kinsman officiated and Anne Pritchard was the organist.

Interment Greenhill Cemetery.
