CARLENE BAKER

Carlene Diane Baker (née Bishop) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at her residence in Port Rowan, in her 75th year.

Beloved wife of Frank Baker, whom she married on April 18, 1959.

Loving mother of Cheryl and her husband Doug Johnston of Mossley, and Daryl Baker of Port Elgin.

She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Bobbie-Rose, Rebecca and Brock, Billy, Dustin and Scott, and by her great-grandchildren: Ayden, Austin and Mackenzie.

Predeceased by her parents Carl and Margaret (Carlson) Bishop and by her brother Tom Bishop.

Visitation was held at the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan from 9:30-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015. The memorial service followed at 11:15 a.m. in the Clark Chapel of the funeral home with a reception afterwards in the clubhouse at the Villages of Long Point Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Neal Memorial United Church or the Kincardine United Church (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the family.

LISA BORON-MUSICK

Lisa Jane Boron-Musick of Kincardine died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at 59 years of age.

Beloved wife of Chris Boron-Musick.

Loved sister of Doug (Susan) Boron of  Hanover, Jeff Boron (Linny Devine) of Victoria, B.C. and Wes Boron of Tiverton.

Sadly missed by her mother-in-law Norma Jean (Leslie) Hopkins of Hamilton.

Cherished sister-in-law of Fran (Basil) McCarthy of Kincardine, Joe Musick of British Columbia and Doug (Char) Musick of Hamilton.

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Audrey (née Bailie) Boron and her infant brother Ronnie.

Visitation was held at the Kincardine Baptist Church, 569 Queen Street, Kincardine, on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, from 1p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Doug and Wes Boron, Matthew and Sean Kiely, Andrew MacKinnon and Robin Smith. Honourary pallbearer was Susan Boron.

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

ALEX CURRIE

Alexander Hamilton Currie, formerly of Kincardine, passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, in his 72nd year.

Sadly missed by his wife Helen Currie (née McAloon), his son Alex Currie Jr. of Cobourg, and his daughter Kirsty (Bob) Ricker of Kitchener.

Loved grandpa of Stacey and Megan Currie of Peterborough; and Ashlyn, Kayley and Kyle Ricker of Kitchener. Great-grandpa of Chase and Taylor Lohnes of Peterborough.

Also missed by his nieces: Jackie (Phil) Cordiner of Richmond Hill and Fiona (Mark) Homer of Burford, and brother-in-law Randy (Fran) McAloon of Collingwood.

Predeceased by his son, Craig Hume Currie (2013); and by his sister, Edna Cochrane.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the hall of the Lion’s Arena, 20 Rittenhouse Road, Kitchener, from 1 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015.

WINNIFRED DAHMER

Winnifred "Winnie" Alice Dahmer (née Fry) of Kincardine died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine, on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, in her 93rd year.

Beloved wife of the late Jack Dahmer.

Dear mother of John (Arla) of R.R.#4, Kincardine, Shirley (Barry) Kirkconnell of London, Barbara Smith of Kincardine and Nancy (Jamie) Easton of Kincardine.

Loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Cherished sister of Maurice Fry (Irene Bish) of R.R.#4, Kincardine, Bill (Karen) Fry of R.R.#2, Goderich and Margie Haldenby of Parry Sound. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her son Robert, in infancy; her brother, Gordon Fry; brother-in-law, Fred Haldenby; and sister-in-law, Joan Fry.

A private family funeral was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine. Serving as pallbearers were Matthew and Aaron Dahmer, Michael Kirkconnell, Blair and Adam Smith and Joel Easton. Flower bearers were Josh Easton, Shari Kirkconnell and Stacey Dahmer.  Spring interment Kincardine Cemetery.

VIOLET FARR

Violet Emma (Bieman) Farr died peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, in her 104th year.

Beloved wife of the late Reverend Canon Maurice H. H. Farr.

Cherished mother of the Reverend Canon Michael D. H. Farr, and his wife Kathleen, of Kincardine.

Proud Gramma of David Farr, and his wife Elizabeth Skakoon, of South Korea and Saturna Island, B.C.; and Heather Farr, and her husband Chris Maley; and great-gramma to Ainsleigh of Ottawa.

She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sisters Lavina Rahn, Lisette Winkler, Lunella Riggin, Lauretta Phaff, Ruth Sinclair and by her brothers Daniel, Arthur, Isidor and Roy Bieman.

Visitation was held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London.

The funeral service was held on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Anglican Church (Broughdale), 1204 Richmond Street, London.

Spring interment Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Durham.

ROLAND MOYSER

Roland "Roly" Edward Moyser of Oshawa and formerly of Blairs Grove, Kincardine passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on Sunday, January 25, 2015, in his 80th year.

Loving husband and sweetheart of Janet (née Holmes) for nearly 38 years.

Dear father of Dr. Melissa Moyser-Alfano, PhD and affable father-in-law of Anthony Alfano.  Proud grandpa of Ava Lina Alfano and also excitedly awaiting the upcoming birth of her three sisters.

A private memorial service was held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, on Monday, February 2, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Roly's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.

 

JAMES WILLIS

James "Jim" Harold Willis of Tiverton passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, in his 59th year.

Beloved husband of Lynne Willis.

Dear father of Matt (Kristen) Willis of Port Elgin, Michelle Willis of Port Elgin, Ashleigh Trahan of Tiverton and Dylan Trahan of Tiverton.

Loved son of Eyvonne (Don) MacRae of Clinton.

Sadly missed by his sisters: Val Willis (Tim Stewart) of Midland and Susan (Miles) Barham of Smiths Falls; his brothers: Bill McEachern of Goderich and Rob (Christine) Willis of Parksville, B.C.; and his sisters-in-law: Sue Musselman of Wasaga Beach and Pam (Bruno) Brajuha of Stayner. Also missed by his special nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his father George Willis and his step-father Erwin Schneider.

Jim was employed at Bruce Power for 34 years, and served as captain for 10 years with the Saugeen Shores Fire Department and as a training officer for eight years with the Tiverton Fire Department.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015.

The funeral service was held at the Kincardine Pavilion at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, with Crystal Morais officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Cumming, Ryan Mahood, Jim Threndyle, Paul McKinnon, Brian Young and Ron Simmons. Serving as the Honour Guard were Rob Blue, Matt Carr, Andrew Lalonde, Laszlo Santha, Matt Cottrill, Jeff Byle and Jeff Hegmans.
