A large fire drew firefighters from Kincardine and Tiverton to the Bruce Bowling Lanes last Wednesday morning.
Municipality of Kincardine Fire Department Fire Chief Kent Padfield said his men responded to a call of heavy smoke coming from the building shortly before 7 a.m. It took crews several hours to bring the fire under control. They were able to contain the fire to the centre of the building. Unfortunately, there is now heavy damage from smoke and water to the bowling alley.
Padfield requested assistance from the South-Bruce OPP and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal and Emergency Management. An OEFM Fire Investigator visited the scene on Monday looking for a cause of the fire.
