Station Beach safe for swimming

Swimmers can once again flock to Station Beach.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported Friday that the unsafe swimming posting has been removed from the Kincardine beach after water samples taken Wednesday indicated that bacteria levels are within the acceptable limits. The beach was posted as unsafe for swimming a week earlier after water samples taken Aug. 14 showed bacteria levels that are higher than the provincial standard for what’s acceptable.

The health unit is reminding swimmers that conditions can change quickly and high winds and heavy rain can have a negative impact on water quality.
