The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) announced Thursday that there is funding available for registered participants attended the upcoming Joint Review Panel hearings in Kincardine.
The CEAA will provide funds through its Participant Funding Program to cover the expenses for participants who have to travel to take part in the hearings, scheduled to begin Sept. 9 in Kincardine. The Joint Review Panel announced last month that it would hold additional hearing dates to discuss the results of information requests made to OPG and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission following hearings last fall.
Ontario Power Generation proposes to prepare a site, and construct and operate a facility for the long-term management of low and intermediate level radioactive waste at the Bruce Power site.
To apply for funding, contact Marie-Josée Boudreau at the Participant Funding Program, by email at PFP.PAFP@ceaa-acee.gc.ca or call 1-866-582-1884.
