Kincardine senior staffers make Sunshine List

Five senior staff members with the Municipality of Kincardine are on Ontario’s so-called Sunshine List.

 

The Ontario Ministry of Finance’s Public Sector Salary Disclosure for 2013 was released March 31. In Kincardine, CAO Murray Clarke tops the list, earning a salary of $149,103.55 with taxable benefits totalling $1,214.32. Former public works director Gagan Sandhu earned $107,539.84 plus $3,773.47 in benefits.

 

Kincardine clerk Donna MacDougall earned a salary of $106,291.24 plus $1,094.62 in benefits. Building and planning director Michele Barr earned $103,519.08 plus $1,124.66 in benefits. Recreation director Karen Kieffer earned $103,409.86 and $1,094.62 in benefits.

 

At the Township of Huron-Kinloss only administrator Mary Rose Walden made the list with a salary of $103,319.95 and $747.50 in taxable benefits.

 

The County of Bruce had 15 employees who earned more than $100,000 last year. CAO Kelley Coulter earned the highest salary at $149,038.42.

 

At the provincial level, Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson was paid $116,550 last year.

 

In the education sector, the list of employees with the Bluewater District School Board who earned more than $100,000 in 2103 is extensive. Topping the list is superintendent of business Brenda Booth, who earned $212,517.38. Superintendents of education Alanna Murray-Lawrence, Lori Wilder and Jean Stephenson each earned approximately $150,000. Cynthia Lemon, executive officer of human resources services, earned a salary of $140,513.66. Director of education Nelson Bryant earned $133,408.57. The list also includes assistants to the superintendents of education and numerous principals, vice-principals and teachers.

 

At the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, only a handful of employees made the list. President and CEO Paul Rosebush earned $205,393.62. Registered nurse Bonnie Cole earned $124,008.37; vice-president human resources and support services Jim Sheppard earned $112,154.70; registered nurse Mary Ellen MacRobert earned $108,559.77; registered nurse Anne Illman earned $100,936.17; and Chief nursing officer Kate Kincaid earned $100,622.43.

 

Several employees with the Grey Bruce Health Unit made the Sunshine List. Dr. Hazel Lynn, medical officer of health, earned the most with a salary of $307,295.04.
