A 36-year-old Burlington man is facing several charges after he refused to provide police with a breath sample after being caught speeding through downtown Kincardine.

Just before 1 a.m. on March 7, a South-Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Queen Street in Kincardine noticed a green Ford F-150 pick-up truck travelling at a high rate of speed. The officer clocked him in a 75 km/hr in a posted 40 km/hr zone. The officer pulled over the truck and discovered the man had been drinking.

The OPP tagged him for impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, speeding and failure to surrender a licence. He is scheduled to appear in court April 7, 2014 to answer to the charges.
