A 51-year-old Lucknow man was hammered with numerous charges on Sunday morning in Lucknow.

At 11:15 a.m. on March 2, a South-Bruce OPP officer on patrol in Lucknow stopped a grey Toyota Corolla. The man was found to have been drinking. He was charged with operation over 80mgs, as well as driving with liquor accessible, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to surrender licence and failure to provide proof of insurance.

The man is to appear in court April 14, 2014 to answer to the charges.

The previous week, a 66-year-old man was served a three-day licence suspension after being stopped by police on Bruce County Road 3 in Brant Twp.

Last Tuesday at 4:40 p.m., cops stopped a silver Honda Pilot, and found the driver had been drinking alcohol. He registered a warn range result at roadside screening and was issued the three-day driving ban.

The South-Bruce OPP reminds the public they have zero tolerance for impaired driving on area roads.
