DOROTHY ALLEN

Dorothy Louise Allen (née Huish), of Kincardine, passed away at Trillium Court on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, in her 90th year.

Beloved wife of Albert Allen.

 

Dear mother of Richard (Ruthanne), of Orillia; Kathryn (Michael) McGarry, of Kincardine; and David (Annette), of Bracebridge.

 

Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Laura (Neal), Jennifer, Paul (Kim), Kevin, Ryan, Carlene, Brittany (Alex); and by her great-granddaughter Fiora. Dorothy was looking forward to the arrival of her second great-grandchild.

 

Also survived by sister-in-law Thelma Huish, of Collingwood.

 

Predeceased by her brothers: Harold (Mabel), Bill, Frank, Wesley (Edith), and Edward in infancy; and by her sisters: Ida (Bill) Lawrence, Helen (Lloyd) Elliott and Evelyn (Lou) Borland. Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Gord Williams officiating.  Spring interment Stayner Union Cemetery.

ROY FERGUSON

Roy Ferguson, of Kincardine, died suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at age 57.

Beloved son of Margaret Ferguson, of RVilla in Ripley, and the late William Ferguson.

Survived by brothers and sisters: Glen (Doreen), of Amhurstburg; Grant (Diann), of Huron Township; Wayne (Diane), of Lurgan Beach; Mary Lynne (Murray Wardell), of Point Clark; Kevin, of Waterloo; and Carol (Bill Bullock), of Sarnia.

Also greatly missed by several nieces and one nephew.

Predeceased by his brother Ron.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be conducted at Lochalsh Cemetery in the spring.

WALTER FLEISCHER

Walter Paul Fleischer, of Tiverton and formerly of Sarnia and Wyoming, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine, on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in his 87th year.

Beloved husband of Rev. Jeanette Fleischer (née Smith). Dear father of Paul (Sherry), of Brigden; Robert (Flory), of Sarnia; Ted, of Sarnia; Dan (Dianne) of Venice, Florida; Heather Bradley (Dave Sharpe), of Thedford; Elizabeth (Warren) Higgins, of South Woodslee; Faith Bradley, of Collingwood; and Dawn Marie Bradley (Tyler Hamilton), of Corunna.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Richard (Heather), Kelly, Katherine, Christine, Sarah, Michael (Chelsea), Tom, Ethan, Ella, Josh, Richard, Jake, Sydney, Duane (Laura), Aaron, Brendan (May), Caleb,

Dylan, Kyle, Julia, Rhyann, Connor and Elizabeth; and by his great-granddaughter Layla.

Walter will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Cherished by his sisters-in-law: Cheryl Vernon (Greg), of Bewdley; Janet Johnston, of Sun City, Arizona; Faye Irwin, of Coburg; and by brother-in-law Bob (Denise) Irwin, of Peterborough.

Also survived by his best friend, Gus Kuppers, of Point Clark.

Predeceased by his granddaughter Karen; and by his brothers: Hugo, Haus, Hermann, Robert, Alfred, Erich and Franz.

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 770 Lakeshore Road, Sarnia, from where the celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, with Rev. Terry Samuel officiating.

Interment Wyoming Cemetery.

ANDREW McKAGUE

Andrew William McKague died at his home in Langley, B.C., on Feb. 21, 2014, at the age of 81 years.

Loving husband of Catherine McKague. Sadly missed by his children: Diane (Stuart) Cameron, of Langley,

BC; Laura (Bob) Irvine, of Calgary, AB; David, of Costa Rica; Glenda (Ron) Johnson, of Williams Lake, BC; and Dana, of Langley, BC. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his sister Jane MacKenzie.

A memorial service will be held at the Langley Presbyterian Church, 20867- 44 Avenue, Langley B.C. at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

MALCOLM PALMER

Malcolm “Mac” John Palmer, of Tiverton Park Manor, and formerly of Kincardine and Ripley, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre-Kincardine on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, in his 70th year.

Dear father of Christina, and her husband Joe Salerno, of London; Charlie Palmer, of Walkerton; and Cory Palmer, of Goderich.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Julianna and Hannah Salerno, and Brooke Palmer. Dear brother of Mike and his wife Marilyn Palmer, of R.R. #3, Tiverton. Also missed by his niece Daisy (Holger) Kraul and his nephew Warren Palmer.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, on Saturday March 1, from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.

Norma Agnes Ruthven (née Anness), of Tiverton, passed away peacefully at the Hanover and District Hospital, on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in her 80th year.

Beloved wife of Donald “Don” Ruthven.

Dear mother of Dennis, and his wife Heather, of R.R.#1, Tiverton; Patti, and her husband Alan Cormier, of R.R. #5, Kincardine; Debbie, and her husband Gil Cote, of Tiverton; and Lori, and her husband Lindsay Lamb, of Tiverton.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Adam (Anne Marie), Mark and Racheal Ruthven; Blake Cote, Lindsay, Andrew and Cassandra Cormier; and Brett Fredericks; and by her great-grandchildren: Mason and Hudson Ruthven and Aiden Brewer.

Survived by her brother-in-law Walter Chippendale, of Cambridge.

Predeceased by her sisters: Jean Chippendale, Sadie (Glen) Rowley and Bertha (Elmer) Minke.  Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine (519-396-2701) from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, from where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Craig officiating.
