If you're looking to be pulled over, driving the wrong way on a one-way street will usually do the trick.
A 31-year-old Kitchener man is facing several charges after doing just that last Tuesday night. At 11:36 p.m., a South-Bruce OPP officer on patrol on Queen Street, Kincardine, stopped a red Pontiac Sunfire for a traffic violation. The driver ran from the vehicle, but was caught a short distance from the scene with a quantity of illegal drugs. The man was charged with driving the wrong way on a one-way street, trafficking a controlled substance, two counts of possessing a controlled substance, two counts of driving while under suspension and driving with expired validation.
He was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for Jan. 15.
