The Legion peewee Kinucks shut out Walkerton 3-0 in Game 4 of the opening round playoff series Wednesday night at the Walkerton Community Centre. The win clinched the series for Kincardine, who will now advance on to play Listowel in the next round.

Walkerton staved off elimination Monday night with a 5-3 win in Ripley Monday evening in Game 3 of the series. Kincardine shut out Walkerton 4-0 in the series opener, and then defeated Walkerton 6-3 on the road in Game 2. Tanner Reid scored four goals in Game 2, but was kept off the scoreboard in Game 3 of the series. Liam Colhoun and Travis Anderson also scored goals in that 6-3 win.

The Kincardine atoms also advanced to the next round, also eliminating Walkerton in four games. For the full playoff picture, don't miss this week's print edition of The Kincardine Independent.
