After a tough draw on the road last week, a pair of local teams will be happy to back in Kincardine on home ice tonight (Wednesday).

Major League Curling comes back to town tonight, it's second stop at the Kincardine Curling Club in a three-week span. It is also the final stop of the season in Kincardine, meaning the last chance for home ice advantage for the Les Shane-skipped BDO Dunwoody rink and the McNain Communications rink, skipped by Sam Turcotte.

Shane will certainly be glad to be back on home ice. After winning big in Week 3 action in Kincardine, BDO Dunwoody was humbled last week in Tara. Scott Ballantyne had his team on home ice, and had no trouble trouncing BDO Dunwoody 10-0. Shane will try to rebound with a 9 p.m. game tonight against the Merrit Insurance team from Paisley. That rink, skipped by Steve Gregg, lost 7-5 last week to Wade Walsh's Cooke Distributing team.

Meanwhile, in Tara, the Craig Milburn-skipped McNain Communications rink was doubled up 8-4 by Al Hutchinson's RAM Promotional club. Tonight, the Kincardine-based rink will take on Marketplace Magazine.

Skipped by Ainsdale Golf Course club pro Joe Rettinger, that game is also a 9 p.m. start. Rettinger is coming off an 8-6 loss to Dave Cobean's Port Elgin rink.

The third and final game in town tonight will feature Don Shane's Hanover ink and Jeff Thomson's Chesley team. Thomson was dumped 6-2 last week by Dylan Tippen, while Shane lost 8-4 to Don Bartley's Absalute Automotive rink. There was one other game last week, in which Mike Schumacher dumped Tom Slumskie's DeDell Seeds rink.

Four other games will be played tonight at the Bluewater Curling Club. All four are also 9 p.m. starts.

Spectators are welcome to take in all of the curling action. There is no charge for admission.
