It’s hockey season.
Your official entry form for the Kincardine Independent’s NHL Hockey Pool can be found on the back page of this week’s newspaper, and we warn you – time is running out!
The winner of our NHL Hockey Pool, proudly brought to you in part by Bruce Telecom, takes home a grand prize of $500. With an entry fee of only $5, why wouldn’t you get in the game? We also have second and third place prizes of $250 and $100, and everyone who enters will be eligible for our weekly draws, which will include tickets and prize packages form the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack, the Ripley Wolves and the Nicol Insurance Kincardine Bulldogs, not to mention some of our other favourite hockey teams, from both near and far.
The Independent has again teamed up with hockeydraft.ca – which means you can check your spot in the standings and how your players are performing on a daily basis. Our leader board will also run weekly in our award winning sports section.
To enter, you must have an official entry form clipped from this newspaper. Official registration forms were also found in the Oct. 2 and Sept. 25 editions of The Independent. There is a limit of four per household, and people of any age can get in on the fun.
But young or old, you’ll have to act soon. The deadline to have your picks submitted to our office, along with your $5 entry fee, is Oct. 18, 2013 at 5 p.m. You can mail your entry, or simply bring it to our office at 840 Queen Street, Kincardine, N2Z 2Z4.
