KDSS girls double Hanover

Boys team plays Friday in Walkerton

The Kincardine District Secondary School girls hockey team skated to a 4-2 win over John Diefenbaker Seccondary School of Hanover yesterday afternoon.

Caitlyn Smith scored once, and Kincardine got a goal each from Amanda Lawrence and Brianna Husk in the win. Picking up assists were Smith, Kait McDonell and Sara Goessell.

Kortney Watson got the win in the KDSS net.

The Knights have a rematch with the Trojans tomorrow (Thursday), this time in Hanover.

Meanwhile, the boys hockey team improved to 6-0 with a win over St. Mary's of Owen Sound Monday afternoon.

Dusty Hughes, Marek Siekierski, Shawn Stewart, Alex Legrand, Zac McIntosh and Karsen Ellis each scored for the Knights in the win.

The boys team will put its perfect record on the line Friday afternoon in Walkerton against the 5-1 second place Sacred Heart High School Crusaders. Game time is 2 p.m.
