The Kincardine District Secondary School boys hockey team improved its record to 5-0 after a 5-1 win this afternoon at the Davidson Centre.

KDSS beat the visiting John Diefenbaker Secondary School Trojans 5-1 in its first game back since the Christmas break.

Garret Meurs scored twice for Kincardine, while single goals went to Shawn Stewart, Marek Siekerski and Zac McIntosh.

With the win, the Knights have now clinched home ice in the opening round of the Bluewater Athletic Association playoffs.

Kincardine has two games remaining - next Friday in Walkerton against the Sacred Herat Crusaders and a make-up game with the St. Mary's Mustangs that has yet to be scheduled.
