Wanted Kincardine man nabbed in Guelph

An early morning traffic stop of a rental car resulted in the arrest of two fugitives, one from Kincardine.

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police stopped a vehicle at 4:14 a.m. on Speedvale Ave., near the Guelph – Woolwich Town line in Guelph on Feb. 13. Investigation revealed the driver, whose licence was suspended, was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. The 30-year-old Kincardine man was arrested on the strength of the warrant and charged with driving under suspension. He was subsequently turned over the South-Bruce OPP.

A female passenger falsely identified herself numerous times before police learned her true identity. It was then revealed that she, too, was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The 44-year-old Kitchener woman was charged with obstructing police and impersonation with intent. She was turned over to London Police Services in regards to her outstanding warrant, and is to appear in Guelph court April 5.
