Skateboard towing leads to charges

The South-Bruce OPP stepped in and laid charges after witnessing a dangerous stunt recently in Kincardine.

While on patrol Oct. 7, an officer on patrol watched a black Dodge Ram pick-up truck tow a male on a skateboard. After the stunt was halted, police laid charges against both males. The driver, a 25-year-old Sarnia man, was charged with careless driving. The skateboarder, a 23-year-old Kincardine male with the same last name as the driver, was charged with Person attached to vehicle.

Police warn people that hanging on to a moving vehicle isn’t just illegal – it’s incredibly dangerous and could end with somebody being seriously injured.
