Seven firearms are now in the hands of criminals after a break-in last Wednesday in Kincardine.
The South-Bruce OPP received a report of the break-in at a Mechanics Avenue residence at 10:25 a.m. on Sept. 5. The home had been entered, and numerous firearms were stolen after the lock was smashed on the secure storage cabinet.
The list of stolen items includes a Benelli Super Black eagle pump action shotgun, a Brown single shot Cooey shotgun, a Browning BPS pump action shotgun, a Brown level action Marlin rifle, a black Browning Safari rifle with shoulder strap and scope and a Brown Cooey .22 caliber rifle.
The value of the stolen items is estimated to be $6,000. Anyone with information is asked to call the South-Bruce OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
Guns
I'm not sure which is more disturbing, the break-in or the fact this urban residence had 6 guns in it.
