Knights edge out Raiders 2-1

The Kincardine District Secondary School boys hockey team improved its record to 2-0 this afternon with a 2-1 win over the visiting Walkerton Raiders.

The Knights came out flying, taking a 1-0 lead with the game just 18 seconds old.

Garrett Meurs scored the goal with an assist to Jared Colling to make it 1-0.

Walkerton tied the game with a little more than three minutes remaining in the first period. Trevor Robinson's wrist shot beat Keegan Woodman to the blocker side.

Alex Legrand scored the eventual game winning goal midway through the seccond. Joe Kosmerly and Scott Beaton each drew an assist.

The Knights are in action again next Friday when they visit the Grey Highlands Seocndary School Lions.
