Ripley hits the road

Wolves face Shallow Lake, Shelburne this weekend

The Ripley Wolves had the weekend off to host the team’s annual 3-on-3 tournament at the Ripley-Huron Community Centre, but are back in action this weekend.

The Wolves will play a pair of road games. Friday night the team will be in Shallow Lake to take on the 2-6-1 Crushers. Saturday night Ripley will be in Shelburne to face the undefeated Muskies.

The Muskies sit atop the Senior A WOAA’s North Division with a perfect 7-0 record. Ripley is currently in sixth place in the Division with a 3-3-0-1 record.

There were eight other games in the WOAA North over the weekend.

Friday night, the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks beat the Lucknow Lancers 9-4, while the Shallow Lake Crushers beat Walkerton 7-4. In Elora, the Rocks put an 11-2 beating on the Nottawasaga River Rats while Palmerston beat the Durham Thundercats 8-5.

Sunday saw Shelburne hand Palmerston its first loss of the season, an 8-4 game. The Lucknow Lancers beat Shallow Lake 5-1 and Drayton defeated Nottawasaga 4-1.

In the WOAA North, it was Exeter 6 Milverton 5, Clinton 6 Monkton 4, Petrolia 5 Tillsonburg 2, Lucan 9 Tavistock 5, Monkton 7 Exeter 5.
