Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Kincardine and District will hold its 27th annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake this weekend.
The annual bowling event is the organization’s largest fundraiser and last year raised $33,000 for mentoring programs for children and youth in the community. Bruce Power recently announced that it will sponsor the rental cost of the Bruce Bowling Lanes for the event, on Saturday and Sunday.
Bruce Power nuclear operator, Shaun Carney, who presented a cheque to BBBS Kincardine and District earlier this month, was once a Little Brother and now volunteers with the BBBS group mentoring program.
This year, the Bowl for Kids’ Sake will feature a Rock n’ Bowl on Saturday from to and a most uniquely dressed team challenge. The event is open to people of all ages. For more information or to register call 519-396-3565 or visit www.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/kincardine.
