MARGARET  DICKSON REID

 

Margaret Dickson Reid "Dot" (née McKay) , of Kincardine, died at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, in her 92nd year. 

Beloved wife of Irving Reid. Dear mother of Don (Gloria) Dickson, of Richmond Hill. Also survived by step-sons Terry (Marlene) Reid, and Kevin (Sandra) Reid, all of Kincardine.  

Predeceased by her husband Carl Dickson; her son Orville Dickson; and her brother Alvin (Angie) McKay. 

Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Darryl Dickson, Kim (Paul) Lagozny, Kelly Dickson, Nick Reid (Nicole MacKay), Troy (Laura) Reid, Victoria Reid, Michael Reid; as well as by great-grandchildren Jordan and Noah Lagozny.  

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine, on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Maurice Close officiating. 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery. 

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Helm, Murray Harris, Jim Preston, Mike Kelley, Paul Lagozny and John D. Dickson.   Memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation or L'Arche (Daybreak - Richmond Hill) were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. HOWARD McMULLEN

 

Howard Alvin McMullen, Second World War Veteran, passed away at the Windsor Regional Hospital on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in his 90th year.

He was the dear brother of Beatrice Collins, of Ripley.

Howard leaves behind three daughters from his first marriage; three sons and two daughters from his second marriage; and three stepdaughters from his last marriage. Also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as three nieces and one nephew.

Predeceased by his parents, William and Winnifred McMullen; and three wives: Pearl, Hilda and June.

Cremation has taken place, with burial to place in Cambridge in the spring.

 

 

ROBERT TOUT

 

Robert "Bob" John Tout, of Point Clark, died at South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine, on Sunday, Nov.  9, 2008, in his 66th year. 

Beloved husband of Nancy Tout (née McLean). Dear father of Michael Tout (Donna Baron), of Burford; and Richard (Mary) Tout ,of Orillia. Cherished son of Evelene and the late Fred Tout. Loved grandfather of Brittany, David, Spencer and Jenna. 

Loved brother of Ron (Joyce) Tout, of Inverhuron; Kevin (Mary Anne) Tout, of Port Elgin; Eleanor Swan, of R.R. #2, Kincardine; and Carol (Bill) Stewart, of R.R. #4, Kincardine. Also survived by sisters-in-law: Joan (Vern) Dunlop, of Kincardine; and Ruth (Ken) MacDonald, of Kitchener. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by his grandson Richard, and brother-in-law Robert Swan. 

Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, 519-396-2701, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008  from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  from where the funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, with Rev. Jim Weir officiating. 

Interment Kincardine Cemetery.

ELLIOTT WEBSTER

 

Elliott Joseph (Tilly) Webster,of Lucknow and formerly of Forest, died peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in his 93rd year.

Tilly was predeceased by his loving wife and best friend Joan; and eldest son David.

Survived by his devoted companion, Jean Whitby, of Lucknow. Tilly will be sadly missed by his children: Phil and Julia, of London; Ric and Ruth, of Bright’s Grove; Lyn and Wes, of Pennville; Mac and Colleen, of Forest; Neil and Ruth, of Iowa City, Iowa.

Also predeceased by son-in-law Bill Jay.

Special grandpa to Melanie, Andrew, Hugh, Cody (Tara), Katy, Cole, Scott, Jimi, Daniel, Duncan, Alison and William. Also survived by great grandchildren Austin, Brandon and Rhys. Tilly will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Tilly was truly blessed by being a part of the Whitby family in Lucknow.

He proudly served his country from 1939-1945.

Visitation was held at the Ronn E. Dodge Funeral Home, in Forest, on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #176 conducting a Legion Service at 6:30 p.m. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. at the Forest United Church, 21 James St. North, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, with Rev. Cathy Larmond officiating.

A Legion visitation and Celebration of Life was held at the Lucknow Legion, Branch #309 at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008.

Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
